Once a woman met the master as he sat on Jacob's well
Feeling weary from his travels cross the land
Now this woman of Samaria saw Jesus was a Jew
So when he asked her for a drink she said what have I to do with you

Then Jesus told her if you only knew the gift of God
And who's talking to you then you'd understand
I can give you living water you'll have everlasting life
Now go on and get your husband I can see you are a wife
Tell him

Chorus:

Come and take a Drink of living water
Draw it from the well that's never dry
Come and take a drink of living water
You'll never thirst and you won't ever have to die

When she said I have no husband he said I know you've had five
Somehow he knew the truth she knew he could not tell a lie
She said you must be a prophet on this mountain where we pray
As she tried to change the subject Jesus tried to show the way

He said the hour is coming when the whole world will believe
She said there's a messiah coming soon
Jesus said that's who you're talking to here comes my little band
That's when she left her waterpot to tell the world come see a man
Tell them

Repeat Chorus:
