Bulgaria Trip Diary

"Yummee... A Purple One!"

Day 2

Rehearsals have been moved to tomorrow so this is a day off…. Except for the endless interviews of course.  Our local guy Peter is cool though, he already knows the answers to many of the questions so he helps to speed things up a lot.

John and I did a long TV interview on the beach which was pleasant enough and followed by an equally pleasant lunch which featured large quantities of various local concoctions, most of which I studiously avoided!

("Yeah, right…. He probably drank everyone under the table!"
"Shhh… he can hear us you know!")

It was actually nice to be able to relax a bit by the hotel pool and plan the next few days during which John and I would do the July Morning thing, a big amphitheater concert in Bourgas and a couple of unplugged gigs.  Also, today, I met the Bulgarian doctor who was at the centre of the Libyan HIV scam and he had some stories to tell!!

Inevitably the day faded away and we went for dinner and to see the Euro Cup final between Spain and Germany.  The food was good, the result of the game was even better and eventually, like the day, we faded too.  A quick nightcap at the pool bar and off to bed, wondering what tomorrow would bring… maybe a little work? …. Nah!!
