Finland, Russia, Russia and Switzerland… "96 tea bags and 2 pedal bins"!

Day 11

I was in total slow-motion today but my flight to Barcelona (via Prague) was not until 18:45 so I had plenty of time to think twice, a necessary thing when jet-lag is piled on top of fatigue!  It's a bit ridiculous that I have to go to Barcelona to get the visa for the second leg of this tour but that's the way the Russian authorities work…. Fly from Moscow to Barcelona, hope you get the visa in time and fly back to Moscow three days later.  I am staying at a nice hotel but it will be really frustrating to know that home is only a 6-hour drive away!!

Note: Are mobile phones/cellphones/ handies (as they are called in various parts of the world) addictive, obsessive or just plain ridiculous?  Are all those "conversations" really necessary? Why does everybody always smile when they are talking on their "phones"? Don't they ever argue (like me) or get bad news (like me)?  When two guys are together and one takes a look at his "phone", why does the other one feel compelled to do it too?  Why do people choose the very centre of an airport concourse to stand and stare blankly at their "phone"?  When one girl gets a text message (from God knows who) why does she have to share it with her friend and why are they laughing?  Did they receive a joke from Mike Taylor?

And why….. oh why do I have to listen to (one side of) their bloody conversations anyway???
