Day 4

Our first long van drive was….. long! Simon has a lot to learn and Helge and Sid started the lessons immediately.

You probably use a sat/nav/GPS thingy in your car and I am sorry but I just don´t like them, at least for highway travel where there are signs and stuff and where a map is a better tool.

We took a few wrong turns and, as I may have mentioned before, one of my pet hates is being lost. And this is not the first time I have become lost driving with someone depending on GPS. I recognise that it can be useful for some things, like in a city with which you are unfamiliar but, like all gadgets, it seems to have become an obsession with some people.

Some of the roads were narrow and rough but we did hit stretches of freeway here and there but progress was slow and it was quite a relief to finally get to Zlin.

Once again everything went smoothly, I popped off to radio Rock Max (I have a boxer named Max) and we had another great, almost sold-out show. This band is getting good and I have to be on my toes every night!

So The Vikings are smashing their way across Eastern Europe and dragging me along with them and this is serious fun. We kept the celebrations brief this time because we have another early start tomorrow. We are headed to Slovakia.
