"'especially'…….
A journey to Germany, Bulgaria and ….. wait for it ….. Iceland!!"

Day 3

In the end I got 2 hours sleep and, as it happened, this was the start of a series of problems for me with a far more serious outcome than simply a lack of sleep!

I slept most of the flight to Munich and then had to change to the flight to Sofia.

You know how it is (don´t you?) when you´re this tired everything is an effort and I just tried to make sure I didn´t lose anything!

I slept some more cat naps on this flight but it still wasn´t enough and, after we finished the TV show, I was relieved when George suggested we go to his appartment for the few hours before our flight to Varna. I was able to nap there and again a bit on the short flight to Varna which had been delayed and I was beginning to sense choppy waters ahead. You know how it is (don´t you?) you just have that feeling that something not so great is on the horizon but you can´t put your finger on it……

One blessing, stroke of luck, whatever you want to call it was that we were staying in the hotel in which we were playing…. great! I could crawl to bed, but first, I had a job to do and I needed some help. So I prayed and of course it worked.

This little piano bar show was really cool and every bit as enjoyable in its own way as the Hamburg show.

George´s band ¨Sunrize¨ was already there waiting for us and they kicked off the night in their usual way. I sat down during their break and played a couple of tunes alone on piano and acoustic guitar (no, not at the same time) and then they joined me for the rest of the show. It works really well and because of the intimate atmosphere, there is a special connection with the audience.

It was fun but… I have the distinct feeling I am catching a cold!
