An update message from Ken Hensley

"Sawubona Unjani…

See... I can speak Zulu now!!
Not really, it’s just that right now I am in the studio producing a young lady from South Africa who is here to record her first CD. A beautiful voice and some great songs give us the opportunity to make it really special.  Her name is Toni Rowland and you can learn more about this project and about her at www.tonirowland.com .  She is here with her manager and cheerleader Kai Von Pannier who she lovingly and abusively refers to as “the butler”.  Kai is a senior figure in the Mineseeker Foundation which is the organisation I have mentioned before that specialises in pinpointing land mines with super sophisticated airship technology.

On other fronts… ”Blood On The Highway” is mixed and will be delivered for mastering at the end of next week.  I am so excited for you all (and a lot of others) to hear this record.  It is quite simply the best record I have ever been involved with.  It’s a concept record from beginning to end and it travels through the life of a rock star in the 70’s with all of the dynamics that are/were involved.  If you were there then you will remember, if not you will definitely experience it through the lyrics, the melodies, the messages, the energy, the emotions and the voices of Glenn Hughes, Jorn Lande, Eve Gallagher, John Lawton and… me!

The information and promotional blitz is set to begin at the start of March and I can’t really say much more at this point.  The label and PR people have made a major commitment to this project and I am thankful to everyone concerned for giving me the chance to be a part of it!

The second, much-expanded edition of my book will be released at exactly the same time, under the same title but I have said too much already…

Please stay tuned and I will keep you informed……

God bless,
Ken
