An update message from Ken Hensley

Things are still crazy here!!

We went straight from mixing and mastering "Blood On The Highway" into the production of a young lady from South Africa, Toni Rowland, who came here to Spain to record her first CD.

Somewhere in between all of this I went to St. Petersburg, Russia to play a freezing cold outdoor show and then the Heros of World Rock festival with, among others, Asia and that meant a reunion with my old friend John Wetton after too many years.  John looked great, sang great and the band was excellent.  I didn’t have to follow them and I couldn’t have!!!

Once we finished mixing and mastering Toni’s record (which includes “Put Your Foot Down” the song chosen by Mineseeker as its worldwide theme song) we moved almost immediately into the current production which is a great new band from Germany (Hamburg actually) called Maks & The Minors.

Six great, young musicians fronted by Max who also writes the songs and we are making great progress so far.

I’m enjoying this because it’s really different and in fact I have a problem describing their particular kind of rock.  But the songs are great and they are well prepared so we are all having fun.

At the same time things are getting into high gear for the showcase in May and I really hope to see many of you there!

I’ll keep you posted of course…

God bless,

Ken
