A message from Ken

Hi everyone,

I've been home for a couple of weeks now and I am almost adjusted to not having to get on an aeroplane or in a bus or in a taxi or... whatever! October is "flood month" in Spain and Autumn is here. The morning sun glows pink on the mountains and the wind is from the West and there is so much to be thankful for.
Most of my time now is spent in my study (see picture) where I am developing the new songs for OPRAMENKO the new CD I expect to have ready by the end of February 2003. I am using a basic system for this, consisting of a Zoom PS02, a Sharp Mini-Disc recorder and a Phillips CD recorder all of which enable me to record the basic songs and make "homework" CDs for the band. In between I will be doing the first of the "anthologies, BORN AGAIN, and I am busy making work CDs of those 12 songs. Thanks to all of you who helped with the selection of these songs by the way and some of your comments will be used for the booklet too... the most interesting ones were hard to choose!

The year 2002 was one of the most interesting and in some ways most difficult years of my life. I won't dwell on the difficulty part except to say that the mistakes that were made were largely a result of bad judgement on my part but I have always learned from my mistakes and that's part of the reason why I am looking forward to 2003 so much!

Apart from the new CDs we will be shooting a film in April that will be released world-wide on DVD later in the year so much of what I am doing now is planning for next year really.

Non-musically speaking I have the challenge of helping 5 dogs and three grown cats live in peace and figuring out how to integrate the new kittens into the family as they become ready. At the moment I think the big dogs would see them as "lunch"!! Not really... but it's quite a group!

So, whoever you are and wherever you may be, I hope you are well. I'll keep you posted on things from here in the valley!

God bless,
Ken
