So much for a day off!! I did get to sleep for 7 hours but in my mind I had planned for about 10!! I had forgotten that we had been back and forth through some serious time-zone changes but I guess my body and brain remembered.

Then I got a call to meet with the DVD Producer who had still not delivered a contract or payment even though he knew that without this he wouldn't be filming the show. He showed up with all kinds of offer and promises but no contract and no money!! He wanted to film the show and "pay me later" but, as I learned so painfully in Togliatti, this is Russia and there is no "later" so I said "thanks but no thanks and thanks again for wasting my time"!!

No big deal, we had already talked about doing this in a castle in Spain if the Moscow deal fell through so now we go to that plan. We have already had preliminary talks with the Symphony director and we will plan to do the concerts sometime in mid-June.

After several other meetings (one of which was about me being included in a very cool history book… more later!) I was beginning to wonder what a day off was really like so I was happy to stagger back to the room and while Monica was taking a long siesta I changed some guitar strings… until I fell asleep in the living room and woke up at 9:30pm!! But I made it to bed and went to sleep dreaming about our dogs and cats.

Next day...
