Well today is a day off and a welcome chance to
relax. The band and Richard are already headed home, Monica and
I will go tomorrow after I do some short video clips for The
Last Dance.
This tour has been a great success in almost every respect and I
am very thankful for that. The cold I had in Spain had not really
cleared up when we left and it had been "hovering" throughout
the tour. But today is the first time it has really affected me
so again a lot of prayers have been answered!! God is faithful.
Of course there were some problems and it was quite gruelling at
times but that's "life on the road" and we were well prepared
for it. It helped a lot that the crew we had around us on the tour
was extremely professional and I wouldn't hesitate to work with
them again.
Now it's time to head home and to finish the CD before considering
options for the rest of this year. We are really looking forward
to being re-united with "the zoo" and to taking some time
off to recover and get back into the way of life we have begun to
enjoy and appreciate in Spain.
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone beginning with
the band, John, Tommi and David for their hard work and endurance.
Michael Shurygin and his staff, Helen for the mobile phone, Richie
for his "backroom" work, Tim for being
Tim, Romi
for interpreting the things we couldn't understand (some of which
we still don't), Richard for grace and professionalism under extreme
pressure from outside and inside, all of the local crews, the press
and Sony Russia, particularly Eugene Koltunov, for their support.
And in Moscow I thank Valery, Alexei, Alexander and Jana (I hope
I spelt that correctly) and the staff at JSA for helping to make
it all possible. Thanks Chuck for translating and for the endless
anecdotes.
God bless each and every one of you and, to the thousands of people
who came to the shows and made them such a great experience, I can
only say the biggest "thank you" and I look forward to
seeing you all again before the end of this year.
God bless,
Ken
Next
day...
