What game?
Today was overdub day and we focussed on some of the smaller (but
very important) things. I had Vadim for the day and, as one of the
premier concert pianists in Moscow (and a huge rock fan) I was hoping
to make the most of his extraordinary talent. By the end of the
day we had some amazing piano tracks, electric and acoustic and
we recorded the 9' Petroff grand piano in the huge music shop downstairs
from the studio. After it closed of course! This was made easier
by the fact that Pro Tools is so portable and Sasha made it all
look easy too. I love the sound of grand pianos and Vadim's command
of this awesome instrument was incredible to experience. I was also
able to get some acoustic guitar parts down and, with time running
out on this first trip, it's clear that the next couple of days
are going to be very busy indeed.
