Looking at what's left to do, I decided to start
in on the remaining lead vocals this morning and we finished "July
Morning" and "Illusion" before lunch arrived. The plan is also to
finish "Rain" and "Weep in Silence" vocals today although I have a
little experiment in mind for "Rain"… we'll have to see if/how that
works out and I'll let you know!
Well, we didn't get there! I was so tired today
(especially after a 15-hour day yesterday!) that we decided to come
back to vocals tomorrow and use this evening to finish some guitar
parts. We're getting close to finishing all of the recording and the
plan is that Sasha and I will mix one song before I leave on
Thursday so he has a frame of reference to work with as he organises
and sets up the rest of the mixes. I'll be coming back on August 21st,
after my solo show in St. Petersburg on the 20th, to
finalise and master the CD so we'll have a chance to make any last
minute adjustments then.
To add to the discomfort of having no
air-conditioning in my hotel room, the toilet has decided to flush
all by itself about every 5 minutes now so it becomes more fun every
day!! NOT!! But I am so tired by now I think I'll be able to sleep
through it anyway!! I'll let you know.
