"My Trip to Germany and Finland... August 2009"

Day 2

Time this morning to get organised and see what I had forgotten and left at home (there´s always something).

Julia picked me up at exactly 10:40 and we went to SWR1, the biggest radio station in the region. The interview was good and it was recorded for broadcast at prime time today. SWR1 is an organisation I know well and they are great supporters of the local music scene.

Our cars are all being supplied by the biggest of the AUDI dealers in the area so I enjoyed being ferried around in a Q7, a car the "tree-huggers" love to hate!

Julia took me to Königstrasse (King Street) so I could buy the little things I needed (hair brush, batteries, guitar strap etc.) and then I went back to the hotel to prepare for my meeting with IBM and the people from the World Creativity Forum which I will be a part of in December.

All of this went very well and I am really looking forward to this challenging event. Among other things I get to sit on a discussion panel with Professor Brandenburg, the gentleman who invented the mp3 file format and who, some say, saved Apple in the process!

Met the guys from the band who had already arrived and then I had to leave for dinner with my hosts from IBM. All in all a good, busy, productive and tiring day.
