Sweden Rock Festival 2001 - Reports
My memories
from the concert are almost identical [to Anders', Georg's and Robban's].
A splendid band, superb songs in superb versions, and an apparently tremendously
happy Ken. He received ovations telling us that he moved home from USA and
realised that he belonged on the scene in front of the audience..
Best song:
July Morning. Nobody plays the organ for that song like Ken.
I stood
in the very front, and when the last regular song Lady In Black was over
I turned around and urged the nearby standing people to keep singing the
refrain melody. Soon the entire audience started up, and soon after that
Ken was back on stage. Bloody good indeed, and one almost forgot that John
Lawton wasn't there. Even I had the opportunity for autographs and photos.
Ken seemed not hesitating with signing my Sonic Origami t-shirt, but the
oddest he signed I think was The Head First Album and Rough Diamond! Surprisingly
there was also some teenages girls who wanted autographes. A very beatiful
blonde had Kens name signed right over her belly!
