An interesting
mixture of feelings today! Obviously I am excited to be going home and I am also
happy that the tour ended on such a positive note but I am a little sad to be
leaving the guys too. All of them have turned out to be not just excellent rock
musicians but solid, decent people too. And I include Magne and Petter in this.
It is good to be part of a team that looks out for each other and I will leave
this morning looking forward to the next time… which might not be too far away!
After only 3 hours sleep I dragged myself to
the airport with help from Morten, Jill and Petter and got checked in for my
direct flight to Alicante.
I won’t miss the cold temperatures at all!
A little reading, a little snack, a little
sleep and soon we were crossing the Pyrenees into Spain. I sent Rod a photo of
this part because it is such a spectacular sight. The pilot said we coud see
Andora off to the left (my side) of the plane but all I could see were
snow-covered mountains!! I did get a good look at Benidorm which looks even
uglier from the air than it does on the ground…
We arrived on time, Monica was waiting for me
and soon we were headed home with lots of catching up to do. I am anxious to get
back into my home routine.
The dogs were very happy to see me and even
more interested in what I might have brought for them! They really are our kids.
The sun and the warmth made me feel at home
too. I will enjoy this while I can.
Anyway thanks for sharing this trip with me…
we’ll do it again soon.
God bless
Ken
