DAY 10 I was making tea in my room (all good Englishmen drink tea first thing in the morning) when I knocked over the cup with boiling water in it. It splashed the back of my right hand and burned it pretty badly!! Fortunately it was the back so my playing is not affected but it needed treatment in Helsinki so I am playing with a silly bandage on it now!! It looks much worse than it is but I will accept it as a warning to be more careful in future!!! All else is well and I am getting ready now to leave for Tavastia... rock & roll! Feeling a bit groggy after nine hours sleep but very thankful for it!! Had a bit of lunch and sat down with the first journalist from a local Helsinki newspaper. His name was Matti but then so is nearly everyone else's!! Just kidding! After two more magazines (including MUSIC & MISSION… a Finnish Christian music magazine) and City Radio, it was suddenly 5:30pm and I practically couldn't talk any more!! Then I had a chance to catch up with e-mail etc… and we all (band and crew) got together for dinner. After a few more beers and a lot of laughter (this really is a great bunch of guys) we all crawled off to bed… eagerly anticipating tomorrow's show at Tavastia… known as one of the best rock clubs in Scandinavia!!! By the way, the Russian and European dates are falling into place now so we'll be able to release details soon… and I hope that means we'll see more of you very soon. Don't miss the show… it's serious rock & roll and a lot of fun at the same time!! God bless |
