DAY 7

We made it to Rotherham (which is in the north of England) in plenty of time and we found the venue with the help of directions sent to the web site!!! You are all so helpful and in new ways too!

The venue was a school complex that The Classic Rock Society uses for some of its concerts and Martin Hudson and his staff made us very welcome!! After sound check we did what all rock bands do… we took naps and read and did crosswords!! HA! Actually we were all a little tired today as we didn't get much sleep last night so we needed to rest a bit before the show.

There were two bands on before us… Strangefish and Landmarq which is Dave Wagstaffe's band. Dave is on Running Blind and we had worked together before so that was fun.

The crowd was good but very quiet and it was quite hard work to get them to sing… and I didn't want to work so hard tonight!! Anyway it all went well and from the comments after the show it seemed that everyone enjoyed it.

So… we have finished the second leg of our tour and now the band has a break while I go to Europe to do some pre-release promotion with the record companies. We'll get back together in early May, to work on some new songs before we go to Russia. The plan is to start work on a new Free Spirit CD before the end of the year so we can have it ready for release in Spring 2003.

Thanks to all of you who came to the UK shows and thanks to all of you who follow our adventures here. We'll keep you posted as we go along and Rod will keep you updated on all the new and exciting developments.

God bless,

Ken
