DAY FIFTEEN

Greetings from Bavaria! I love this part of Germany and the beer is amazing!! Augsburg is the oldest city in Bavaria and I haven't been here since 1980!! The weather is unusually hot at the moment (33C!) so the bus is getting a little "steamy"!

The RockFabrik (Rock Factory) is one of the best clubs on the German circuit and after a shower to wash off the bus and yesterday Pete dried his laundry on a shopping basket in the middle of the car park and we were ready for sound check. Leo and Batzi made us very comfortable and sound check was… LOUD! Also they had blue speakers which was a problem as this colour clashes with all of my stage clothes… (just kidding!)

Dinner was great (another Schnitzel!) and then came the "celebrity" appearances! First Bernie Reichert and Iris then Richard Wagner and then Thommy Muller!! This was going to be a star-studded evening indeed! After the opening act was finished (and they were loud too!) it was time to rock the house and we did! It probably wasn't our best show but some good things happened and the crowd seemeed to enjoy it. I had a chance to meet everyone afterwards and then it was off to the hotel for a real night's sleep. We have a couple of days off now before the last show in Gerolzhofen and after that we drive back to England for the show in Deal on the 21st.

This tour has been really good in many ways, even though the promotion has been weak in some areas. Lars at Monster is already booking the next leg in September/October and we will have lots of experiences to bring with us so we are already looking forward to that. But, for now, a little sleep and a laundry day tomorrow!

Next day...
