DAY NINETEEN

This was a lazy morning and a chance to catch up on stuff! I am not going to comment on the England-Brazil game as I was too nervous to watch it but I will say this… I don't see anyone beating Brazil now… especially after watching Germany beat the USA!!

Finally we arrived in Deal and I was reunited with Gipsy after nearly three weeks!! He was happy, I was happy and he wanted to play. He's only seven months old but he's already a monster!! So he came to sound check although we had to lock him in the dressing room so his ears wouldn't be hurt. Then he helped everyone eat their food and generally made a whole bunch of new friends!! Great venue this and great people too! The PA was a bit "lacking" (not Ade's words!) and the evening wasn't without its problems but the band played well, my voice is holding up (as I learn every day a bit more about singing!) and the gig "felt" good.

There were lots of compliments and useful suggestions later too. Not for the first time did I hear someone say that we should do more stuff from Proud Words… and we will… on the next European leg for sure!!

Martin arrived later and we had a chance to celebrate briefly before we all went our separate ways for the first time in a while. The day off tomorrow will give us all a chance to re-group a bit before travelling up to Crewe on Sunday. See you all then!

Next day...
