THE KILMINSTER KOLUMN
Wow… How can I sum up the last
couple of months in a few simple lines?
Well I guess my first thoughts would be of the audiences. Yes, you
chaps (and chapettes!). We have met some really lovely people along
the way, all (without exception) extremely encouraging, with only
positive, wonderful things to say about the band and show…
Some, feeling bad due to the occasional low turnout. I'd tell them,
"it's OK, you enjoyed it, we enjoyed it, just tell your friends
next time 'cause they won't want to miss out again!"
Secondly, I'd like to mention the amazing cameraderie within the
band and crew…
The tours have been tough, no doubt about it. Lesser people would
have given up, crumbled, or at least got a little stroppy!! But
no, everyone has kept the 'Free Spirit' flag flying with grace,
good humour and mutual respect towards a common goal. That is, to
create a little magic just for you… I consider myself truly
fortunate to be playing with these guys…
And this is only the beginning!!!!
