FRIDAY 27th
Slept late and did some work (wrote
a new song actually… called "The Last Dance (El Gitano
Viejo)" before going to the venue for sound check. The songs
are really coming quickly now and I am thankful for that…
Z7 is one of the best venues in all of Europe and is run by Norbert
and Dane very professionally. It also has the best catering and
so it's a great venue and one that everyone looks forward to playing.
I had played here with John Lawton and was excited to introduce
the rest of the band to it.
Some say that the best part is the washer and dryer and we all made
the best use of them!! I'm not much good at this so my blue shirts
are a slightly different colour now! (stick to music Ken… ed)
The show was excellent and the whole evening was memorable. We recorded
it onto mini-disc and we are going to be doing this regularly from
now on… it's really helpful. Of course we only have one more
show but it will also be helpful for to create the demo CDs for
the guys of the news songs and the "Anthology" tracks.
Tonight I signed a lot of stuff and saw some faces I hadn't seen
in a while so it was a great night and we got back to the hotel
quite late!
