DAY 8 We had about a 6 hour drive to Tampere which gave us a chance to talk about the first show and how to approach the next one. The roads were quiet so the drive was smooth except for the fact that our windscreen washers were not working and with all the snow around we had to stop every 60 kms or so because we couldn't see!! We'll get it fixed (and get winter tyres!) when we get back to Helsinki!! Arrived in Tampere in plenty of time and this venue was more like a real rock club with great sound and a good professional crew! Everything went smoothly and we went on stage at 12:30 (AM!!!!!). Another great crowd, great response and now I felt the band settling down and a lot more comfortable. Our show is nearly 2 hours long but it doesn't feel
like it and this night was big step up from the previous night.
Again, lots of autographs etc… and then back to the hotel to
try and stay awake to watch the Australian Grand Prix… this
ended up as another F1 joke so I turned off the TV and went to sleep,
looking forward to a short drive to Helsinki and a day off!! |
