PAST WORMBATH SHOWS!
7-21-01 - A Church in Limerick with Face Down Angels, the Cane Toads and Odds Are. We were playing last. Me and Myke couldn't get in touch with Brendan, we had no idea where he was. We were unloading some stuff just to play some unrocking bass/guitar/vocal stuff when we talked to this kid Jake who said he played some drums and he had both our CDs. I said awesome, let's give it a shot! We started to play, and Jake wasn't too bad! We rocked a couple songs..(notable highlights included Jamee thinks She's Hardcore and Broken)... and then we UNrocked a couple with no drums (Wrestler of the Year, Fat Chance, and I Need You with crowd participation beat.) Everyone including me and Myke sat down and it was a nice atmosphere. Then, amazingly, Brendan showed up!! We blasted out a couple more rockin tunes and the kids were having a great time. And so did we. Huge thanks to Jake for helpin us out and being a great sport about the whole thing. That was definitely a Wormbath show you don't see every day. Thanks to Kenn from FDA for the show, it was a blast.
4-13-01 - Endicott American Legion, Endicott, NY - Much thanks to Gus for giving us this show. It was a real blast. We got a little lost on the way, but we made it to the place in plenty of time to see some crazy stuff. This dude in this one band called Toylit Crisis, actually broke his leg jumping around to his music! It was insane. I got to freestyle rap, which was interesting. The MIAs played, and they were a real good rock and roll band. They played two great covers - 'Blank Generation' by Richard Hell and the Voidoids and 'Stepping Stone' by the Monkees. Really had a great time watching them until someone moshed me into the kids in front of me, and then my mouth hurt. We played last, and the crowd was really into us. A lot of people actually knew our songs too! That was the greatest feeling. Thanks to everyone who was there, it was a good time, especially a big shout out to Phrank Martian, who was in a wacky mood all night. What a crazy fella. ROCK ON!
3-30-01 - Warminster VFW Hall - with: some bands.. I didn't get all their names, and I feel bad for that. Midiron Blast Shaft was there. Thanks so much to Jesse and Mike for their great support! People actually knew our songs!! And the metal dudes dug Crazy Train. We played pretty good and it seems that everyone had a good time when we played. Good stuff, hope to see you guys again.
2-24-01 - Lenape Middle School - The Punk Rock Prom - with: The Boils, Dark Day Dawning, Nutbox, and one other bands I didn't get the name of and I apologize to a lot. Wow. Lots of dressed up folks having a great time at this show. All the bands were tremendous. It was the first time I remember seeing Dark Day Dawning. Wow again. Look out for these guys, they know how to rock a house. The Boils had their classic punk rocker charm out, too. Nutbox further developing the musical melting pot between pop/rock/noise/ska/crazy fucking shit. Really a great turnout of diverse people, I think everyone there had a wonderful time, and so did I. Thanks to Brett and James for giving us the show, support these guys!!
2-17-01 - Phoenixville, PA at the Moose Lodge. This show was really expensive. Amazingly the crowd was amazingly amazing and large! Big Green Limousine, Kazm, Dinky, Face Down Angels, Revolver Method, Me Without You and others joined us for a great rocking show. I was afraid no one was going to like us because so many of the bands were hardcore, but when we took the stage it was magic. I was a little afraid of some of the roughness goin on but it was okay. We met some people we'd never seen and they'd never seen us, and it was a really cool night. Pretty weird how the first time we ever played P-ville was like 5 years ago. Wow. Thanks to Chris for giving us the show, I hope you made some money for the skate park. Thanks to everyone who shelled out the big bucks and kept the scene alive.
1-21-01 - Binghamton, NY at the New Cheers Pub with: Fist Her Face, Drunken War, Still Blue, Just Passed and one other band I don't remember... What a great show. It's a real shame that Fist Her Face is going to have to break up (well, at least they wouldn't be able to play many more shows) because they were simply amazing. We played alright too, and I think some people got a kick out of us. Just Passed was GREAT, be sure to check them out. Still Blue got even better than the last time we played with them. Good stuff. But anyways, you HAVE to buy the Fist Her Face CD 'Back from the Dead with A Broken Heart' ASAP! Email Phrank at FistHerFace@aol.com. I think the CD is like 8 bucks, but it's well worth it. Think older Screeching Weasel with some modern flare to it. Fucking rock.
12-28-00 - Binghamton, NY, The New Cheers Pub. with: Fist Her Face, Man Without Plan, Death By Nostalgia, and some other bands. We weren't sure what to expect out of this show but it turned out to be an interesting experience. The sound system was good, and the crowd was really fun. Even though the sound guy and some other guys were drunk (or maybe just crazy) they were cool. Thanks to all the kids who bought stuff and big thanks to Phrank from Fist Her Face. This band is awesome and I didn't know they were around until like now, and they have to break up! It really sucks, but we'll be playing their last show on January 21st at the same place, so that should be fun. Thanks also to Mike for puttin us on the show. Big apologies to Man Without Plan. The snow kinda made us want to leave a bit early on our 4 hour journey. If anyone gets a chance to see these guys, do, they're awesome. All in all the show was a success, even though the big drunk heckling skinhead-lookin dude made things a bit uncomfortable.
12-15-00 - Collegeville, PA, former PV Middle School, currently a YMCA location: with Kazm, Dinkee (sp?), the Dekline, Wormbath, and Manhunt. Wow, what a great show!! This was the best one in a long time. If you missed this you missed out big time! Sorry to anyone who couldn't make it. It took a little while for the crowd to get rockin (I felt bad for the Dekline, playin first is always hard), but once they started they didn't stop! All the bands played great, and we actually played good too! People really were gettin into us. Thanks to everyone who was there, who bought a CD or a shirt or somethin, and BIG THANKS to Kate for once again helping us out with a great show.
09-17-00 - Glenside, PA area.. North Penn VFW - with Midiron Blast Shaft, The Misguided (their last show), Example 24, and a whole bunch of other bands that I can't remember. If anyone was there PLEASE email me with the whole line-up, I wasn't there the whole show. We gave Brendan the wrong directions so we weren't sure if we'd get to play at all. Myke locked his keys in his car. Somehow, we got everything together and it was really an amazing show for us. We played great, people were rockin' out and even though our set got cut a bit short it was still all good. Thanks to everyone who was there and big thanks to Pat, who gave us the show.
08-18-00 - Telford, PA at some hall somewhere - All of a sudden I found out about this show that afternoon. It was pretty crazy stuff. We went to this place and had to bring our bass cabinet up a huge flight of steps. Some bands played, I don't remember all their names... Concept 7 I do believe was one of them.. and Therapist (pronounced 'the rapist' like from that one Sat. Night Live skit with celebrity Jeopardy; Sean Connery was like 'The rapisht' and stuff.. I dunno.. quite obscure stuff). Therapist (I dunno if I'm even spelling it right) used our equipment. They were decent. We played and even though my bass strap wasn't cooperating we had a pretty good set. The not-so-many-but-not-exactly-few people who were there seemed to enjoy most of the set and we actually sold some CDs! Yay! Thanks to everyone who did that and to Launa once again. The show was for a charity, but now I don't remember what. Later.
07-22-00 - SUCKFEST! - Thanks again this year to Sean Jobs, the man of all men. He hooked us up with a spot in his annual punk rock extravaganza. I apologize for not being able to stay long, but I had a good time while we were there. Some good stuff from the stage and a nice crowd. I hope the rest of the day went well... hmm maybe I should go to http://come.to/suckfest to find out!!!
07-07-00 - Sassmansville Fire Hall, Sassmansville, PA. You all should be ashamed of yourselves for missing this one. There were about 30 people who showed up to this show and I bet they all had a great time. (I know we did). Minimal Effort was good, PBS freaking kicked ass, we played pretty damn good (cept maybe that part where my hand started to bleed and I couldn't move my wrist and I was spitting all over the freakin place), the Red Tops were rocking and the Turbo A.C.'s were just incredibly awesome. If you went to some other show you were obviously disappointed. Thanks to Fran for giving us this show, but I do feel bad, cuz you lost money. I hope next time more people show up cuz if this good of a show is ever put on again and there's no one there to experience it I'll be quite depressed.
06-23-00 - Montclair Co-Op School - show put on by the Freedom Collective with Give Us Barrabas, Plan A Project, Deviate, the Sascathewan(sp) Trio, and Deviant Tresspass. I had a good time at the show and a good amount of people watched us and had a good time. I guess we weren't as hard or as serious as a lot of the other bands at the show but I think we did good. Big thanks to Vin and Anthony, you guys are completely nuts.
ANYTHING BELOW THIS LINE IS FROM THE OLD PAGE...
The Phoenixville High School SADD show, April 10th,
Phoenixville High School: It was pretty fun, thanks to all the
kids who stayed til the end to watch us, that was awesome. Lots
of people were there in spite of the heightened security and it
bein in the gym and all this year. I had a good time and we sold
some stuff to lots of cool kids. Alright.

Doc Watson's Pub, Philly, Saturday, June 5th
Okay, so this was a 21+ show and that was pretty weird. The Idiot
Mob, who's CD is coming out soon on Trendee Records, a label that
Myke is a part of, played an AWESOME set of high energy punk and
80s covers. Incredible energy and more talent than us. The
Herculoids played next. Great pop punk with a modern Ramonesy
kind of feel. Real fun to watch, although I don't think anyone
wanted to participate in a dancing contest to see who gets the
Barbara Streisand LP. Weird stuff. We played around 1 oclock in
the morning and I still thank anyone who was awake at that hour.
There wasn't much crowd, but enough people stayed to make it fun.
Thanks to anyone who was there. Later.
--------------------
Former PV Middle School , now Branch of Phoenixville Area YMCA ;
Collegeville, PA
June 18th.
So we had some hectic times gettin this one together, but it all
worked out okay. Mr. K (Myke's dad) ended up runnin the sound the
whole night, which wasn't too shabby. There weren't too many
people but enough for me to have a good time. I caught some great
young talent in the form of My Boy Elroy, Forget-Me-Nots, and the
Throttle Bottoms. Dr. Fever played awesome. Other than that I
dunno cuz we went to get some Wendy's. Our set was okay, but
Myke's finger is still all swelled up. Oh well. People watched us
and we actually sold a few CDs here and there. It was fun. Thanks
to Kate for givin us the show.
----------------------------
Some Girl Jane's House, July 13th
An interesting show. I forget who all played but some friends
from my college were there and Jackie was there too. I think Good
to Go played but I missed them. Power of Four played, the drummer
from PLOW United's new band, and they were REALLY REALLY loud.
Really good, too, but too loud for my little ears to enjoy. Our
set was a little sloppy but no one could really notice cuz the
sound wasn't too hot. I think people were leaving the room while
we played, and that kinds sucked. Oh well!! I had a good time
playing HORSE and all that. Thanks to Michelle Destructo for the
show!!
--------------------------------
Lansdale American Legion, July 16th I think?
This was a pretty good show. It was cool seein Art Polk and Carly
and Julie and all. We played with this dude Myles with his bass
on distortion and a drum machine.. interesting.... Then the
Infidels played and they rocked. The Town Managers also were very
good. We did alright I think. I think some of the kids really
liked us. I had a great time playin. And Myke broke a microphone
holder.
--------------------------------
some coffeehouse in Chadds Ford I think, PA.... July 17th
This was a nice place. I think it was awesome that they let a
cool show like this go on. First, the Antix played. I remember
them as being only so-so, but they blew me away! Great band,
great talent and nice sound. I was dancing a bit and I found that
up front was where the air conditioning hit best. Next were Good
to Go. I got to catch some of their set cuz I had to get my stuff
together, but they were quite rockin. Definitely a local band to
look out for. Next we went on. I wish Tom woulda heckled us or
something cuz there wasn't much of a crowd reaction for anything
we did. I guess people watched and appreciated but no big swell
of love. I watched Super Hi-Five from the outside window cuz my
ears hurt. Arik was paid by his bandmates to play in a speedo. It
was quite funny. They rocked and kicked ass only to face such a
lackadaisical crowd. Oh well. At least they rocked. Then we went
to a diner and went home. It was an okay night but we sold barely
nothing of our stuff. Thanks to Brandon for settin it up though,
cuz that counts for quite a bit.
------------------------------------------------
Suckfest!!!!!! Sean's House, somewhere near Allentown-ish, PA
The almighty Suckfest returned in full force this year with some
great stuff and some not so great. I'm not sure of who all played
but I'll give you a run down and some views on what I saw: --
some band playing some REALLY bad covers (i.e. 'Just a Girl'
'Santeria' and that new Metallica cover single)
--Avi's band the green tree commandos.... crazy nutball-core. Very
intriguing, quite ear-piercing [during which the idiot who was
being nutty all day accidently busts my lightsaber.. pissed me
off. He thought headbands were cool, too.]
--some white rappers with a computer runnning their DAT machine.
Not horrible, but you don't go dissing an audience to get em up
and on your side.
--some pretty good punk bands that got tthe audience moving
--after us, NJ Joystick, Step Lively, annd Dawson High played.
They were all quite good.
Our set was pretty rockin!! I think we got a lot of people
motivated enough to get off their sorry asses and watch!! I had a
real good time and there was a pool for the kids.
BIG thanks to Sean and his family, hope he stops up to 6th floor
Goshen Hall at WCU sometime.
-------------------------------------------------------
August 7th? Somethin like that, that coffeehouse on Route 1 with
Good to Go, No on 15, the Antix and Up to 11 (I think that was
everyone)
Well we were gonna play with Dr Fever in Royersford that night
but everything got screwed up so it was awesome of Brandon to let
us onthe show a day before. Myke's friend from Long Island,
Melanie, was there to experience it, as was my girlfriend Anna.
It was a good time hangin out and then we played. We played
alright but our rather dissappointing performance of Ozzy
Osbourne's 'Crazy Train' was a bit off for that first time
playing it live. I still had fun playin though. Realizing that
Melanie had to be home that night we had to jet so we could hang
out at Myke's house, so I apologize to the other bands for us not
staying. Thanks again to Brandon and the Coffeehouse people.
Although, it woulda been nice if you had let Pat our merch guy in
to videotape our set. Oh well.
----------------------------------------------------------
August 15th I believe, it was a Sunday, Rutherford, New Jersey.
the Culture Cup concert series brought to you by Trendee Records
(http://www.trendeerecords.com) and umm... shoot, who was that
other sponsor?? drat.
This was a nice little event in the local park. They had a rad
'band shell' thingy to use as a stage. Lots of folky artists
played, and a hippie jam band, and a blue/rock band. I suppose
Wormbath was just TOO much rock for that stage, cuz we managed to
blow the power out twice during our shortened set. We also
managed to overheat the power amp for the P.A. so we had to use
the smaller speakers (that we were using as monitors) as the main
speakers. Oh well. I still had a great time playing even though
all that happened, and people were still enjoying themselves. No
booing whatsoever!
The Idiot Mob came on and once again impressed me with their
original style and their incredible stage prescence. I can't wait
for the CD to come out.
Huge thanks to Mark, the Idiot Mob, Myke's other housemates, the
rest of Trendee Records (is that Sal, Mark, Tim, Colby, and Myke?
I think that was them, I hope), Mark's parents and sister, and
everyone else I got to meet that weekend.
GO TO WWW.TRENDEERECORDS.COM!!

Friday, August 27th (I think) At Jeanie's Mom's house, Plymouth
Meeting PA
With: Dirt Bike Annie and Phaser (I think)
Well I (Mike) really like Dirt Bike Annie, so I was really
excited to play this little get together at Jeanie's Mom's house.
After I met them, we set up our stuff (borrowed Deano's drum set)
and we did an outdoor soundcheck cuz it was originally gonna be
an outdoor thing. Then the rain came. Everyone had to take off
their shoes (house policy) and rush all the equipment to the
basement. It was a really nice house. They had a pool table and
ping pong and padded carpeting in their basement. It was fun
playing in my socks. So anyways, after a little bit of hangin
out, we played first. Everybody (the bands and some friends)
seemed to enjoy our antics as we kicked it kungfu-wormbath style.
Then came Dirt Bike Annie. They put on a tremendous performance
and even took a few requests that me and my girlfriend Anna had.
Phaser played last and a lot of their songs were about getting
high. Then we left and went to Denny's. It was a good night.
Thanks much to DBA, Jeanie's Mom and Phaser(even though I believe
they broke up). Be sure and visit Dirt Bike Annie's webpage, it's
linked from our links page!
Awesome.
--------------------------------------------------------------
I'll put my thanks to the Slap Happies here, but I forgot what
date that show at the end of the summer was. I remember being
frightened by the woods because I had just seen The Blair Witch
Project. And Nicole(sp?) hit the back of a truck. The show was
kinda fun though, thanks to those punk kids for buyin some stuff.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Thursday October 21st, Penn State Berks Campus
Thanks to Matt Byrd and that other guy there who got us the show.
Shout out to PBS and Nemesis Enforcer and that other band, what
was the name of them? I missed em. So yeah, we played okay, I
broke a string and so did Myke.. so that sucked. We need to
practice more.
----------------------------------
DAY BEFORE HALLOWEEN, DB Adam and DB Danny's place (I believe MC
Chris lives there too)
Well, we got there and hung out with everyone from DBA and Nate
Schmoe and MC Chris and some people Myke brought from 5-towns
college. It was a good time for all and we were so hyped up on
sugar when we played it was just pure rock, despite the low
basement ceiling. The Shy Guys, a pop punk band from New York,
played as well, and they were quite great. "Bitch and the
Moans" played too, ranging their covers from rap to rock to
Michael Jackson's Thriller. We hung out for a little while more
while the party got wilder and drunker and just plain nutty! It
was an awesome time and I like to thank Dirt Bike Annie for being
good to us again.
============================
West Chester University Battle of the Bands Preliminary
Competition - Nov 21st
Okay so we're like LAST out of fifteen bands because our name
starts with 'W.' I thought that was the kiss of death but boy was
I wrong!! We actually totally rocked for the short ten minutes we
got and really got people goin. We made it into the finals for
next semester along with four other great bands. Thanks to the
Student Activities Council and Linda from the ROC committee and
the judges for deeming us worthy!!
(Mike would also like to thank Myke and Brendan for playing what
could have potentially sucked a LOT)
==========================
December somethingish - former PV middle School
Big thanks to Kate for letting us play this show! We had a good
time playing. Forget-Me-Not(s)[sp?] were pretty good and Nemesis
Enforcer kicked all of our asses. Thanks to D-Rock from PBS for
helping us with the sound stuff.
================================
January 29th in Paramus New Jersey!
Wormbath returns to New Jersey in a semi-big way! Real good bands
and us played a show in Paramus and it was a good time. Great
crowd, lots of fun. Pull 130, Outline, the Putrid Flowers, and
the Jerk-Offs all played really well and I got some CDs and
stuff. Thanks to all the Wormbath fanatics in the front for
making us feel special and rocking with us. Thanks also to Kevin
for making it happen without too much trouble, cept for the whole
weird internet directions thing. Be careful of Mapquest, folks!
-----------------------------------
February 12th, Hatboro Community Center with: Sheldon, Dirt Bike
Annie, Grady, Midiron Blast Shaft and One-21.
This was a great show. I had so much fun playing it and all the
bands were really good. Special thanks to Pat from Sheldon for
pulling it together, Dirt Bike Annie for comin down to play (cuz
I love them), and all the kids who bought stuff. . thanks to you
we are well on our way to being able to afford new shirts and a
new CD! You guys are the best and I can't wait to play there
again. Be sure and check out all these bands if you get to see
them sometime!
---------------------------------------<
Feb 18th, 2000. The Punk Rock Prom, Lenape Middle School,
Doylestown, PA. with:Nutbox, fsg, nice boys and show show and
Concept 7 I do believe. It was a fun night with lots of dressed
up people, and people having fun. It really sucked that some jerk
punched a girl during Nutbox's set though.
Other than that, Myke and Brendan had dates (My girlfriend was
in Boston with family, oh well), people slow danced to Earth
Angel, and a good time was had by many. Check out some pics at
http://www.wormbath.com/prom/ Hopefully that works. Special
thanks to Dusty for interviewing us and stuff and Brett for
giving us the opportunity to play. Onward to the Battle of the
Bands!
------------------------------------------
WE FRICKIN' WON!
We came to the Battle of the Bands and kicked butt.
Nuff' said.
Thanks soo much for everyone who showed their support that
night and who continue to show support. We're getting new
T-shirts with the 500 bucks we won. Oh yeah.
------------------------------------------
MARCH 18th or so - Lansdale
Thanks to Veronica for putting us on her show, and thanks
to Pat for getting us to her, I think, or something. It was
a really long show and half the people left before we got to
play, and I was stressed, but it was a good show, I felt, for
all the attendants.
Cool.
------------------------------------------
MARCH 31st - Kennett Square American Legion
Thanks to Nick and Andrew from IFS for this show, it was
really a good show. I felt we had a pretty good set despite
everyone's apparent boredom. Super Hi-5 (from what I saw) were
really good, as were IFS, Good to Go, TwentyMonthSpring, and Up
to 11. It was a fun night!
--------------------------------------------
April 15th - day - Goshen Hall Grill and Grind, WCU
I had a good time running sound for this event. Bitter
Contradiction
kicked ass. The New Victims were quite good too. Thanks to John
for
putting Wormbath on the show. We played pretty well, but nobody
really got into us. Oh well.
-----------------
April 15th - night! - Lansdale Knights of Columbus
Well, I hate playing last at shows in Lansdale where there's this
curfew thing, but it was okay. People actually stayed, even
though the
sound was horrible, I think we played okay. I had a good time and
I
want to thank Brendan for putting us on the show and everyone
who stayed to watch us make the most out of a weird P.A. system.
