Cloaked Figure (June 25th, 1996) Surprisingly, there isn't all that much to see at St. Paul's Cathedral. While other members of my choir took a trip up the spiral staircase to the top of the famous dome, I sat down and sketched, mostly out of desperation, while waiting for Evensong to start. Having loved the folds in this sculpture, imagine my surprise when I moved in for a closer look, and found out that this funeral effigy was wearing nothing in front! |
