Victorian Dress Victorian Apparel I
I drew these in London's Victoria and Albert Museum, for descriptive use in a story that I ended up not writing. The items are
a)Combinations: (English, 1880s) Cotton trimmed w/machine-made embroidery. Combines a chemise top with drawers.
b)Corset: (English, 1883) Cotton reinforced with leather and stiffened w/whale-bone.
Coat&Skirt: (Doucet, Paris, ca. 1895) Made of cotton drill.
