Memento Mori Photoshop Medieval Europe had a tradition of creating artwork whose hallmark was the blending of beauty and decay, vitality and death. Its purpose was to remind people that nothing lasted for ever, and King Death levelled all. Hence, the 'Memento Mori' or 'Remembrance of Death'. (A better translation, for those of you who know Portuguese, is 'Lembranca da Morte'.) |
