Object of the
"Mascot Contest"

The primary object of this contest, first of all, is to have FUN!!! How will we have fun? Well, what about a contest? A "Create a Dragon Mascot for the RDR, Contest!!!"

That's right... We're looking for the 'perfect' Dragon Image Mascot.

The winning entry will be the outstanding icon of the "Rainbow Dragon Ring", "Forum" and "Homepage".

We want YOU, our "RDR Family Members," to get involved and get you to participate in the building of our homepage, as well as, taking part in discussions in the "RDR Forum". We all want to have a little FUN every now and again, as well as take on challenges. Win or lose, in the end we are just one big very happy and fun seeking family here.

So, once again, by way of this contest, we encourage you to have some fun and get involved. If you are not the "artsy type" you can take part in the second stage of this contest and help us choose a name for our new mascot. And by all means... SHARE THE FUN with your family and friends! ANYONE CAN ENTER. If you know someone that would enjoy participating, get them involved! Let's share the fun! All info will be updated as the contest swings into gear.

Contest Rulz:

#1 All entry graphics will become the property of the Rainbow Dragon Ring and may be used for publication on the web or other media.

#2 All entrants must certify that the creation submitted to the contest is their orginal and unpublished work.

#3 The winning entrant must be able to supply to the RDR additional versions of their winning graphic for various RDR application.

#4 Entry picture "MUST" be in .gif or .jpg format, no larger than 30kb's, and no bigger than 250 x 250 pixel's. ***

#5 Picture can be either "line art" (black and white) or colored. All art mediums are welcome (mediums used, graphic program used, short description...etc).

#6 Everyone is encouraged to vote for their favorites and the "Top Three" entries (depending on amount of entries received) will then move on to the final judging.

#7 Final judging will be done privately by "The Overseer", "Lady Camelot" and "Ryanek".

#8 The winning entry will then be announced and then the naming of the winning entry will then take place as the second part of this contest.

#9 Once "named" the winning entry will then become the "Official RDR Mascot".

***Important ***Note (s) The winning entry will be used as the official RainBow Dragon Mascot. The image you submit as an entry must conform to the parameters outlined in the rulz. This is done strictly for ease of download times and conservation of limited server space. We highly recommend that all contest entrants maintain a high resolution image of their dragon art. When the time comes to display this art in the upcoming art gallery, we want your hard work to look its very best. Thank You!!!

The Prizes: What's a contest without prizes? Everybody wins. Everybody who enters a dragon will get it displayed in the upcoming RDRF HP original art gallery with full credit and a link back to the artist's web site. Ryanek went out and got three goodies so that we could offer them as prizes in the contest. There are two prizes for the graphic contest and one for the mascot name contest which will follow soon after.

April 1st - April 30th Entry dates. Art entries are accepted from April 1st through midnight April 30th.

May 2nd - May 19th Voting for RDR Mascot will run through May 2nd - May 19, and the voting ballots will shut down at midnight.

Include your name and a valid e-mail address and your url (if you have a web site).

Also the medium you used to create your art along with a short description if you like.

A voting form will be provided after the submission deadline. Please vote for your favorite mascot. You may vote for more than one but PLEASE do not submit multiple votes for the same one. Each Picture will be numbered, so be sure to include that number in your vote. Thank you.

We need your help in promoting this contest. A banner has been prepared that can be displayed within your website. We encourage interested parties to display this banner along with a link back to this page. The script for the link is provided for your convenience.
