Hobbit that has an adventure; the main character that finds a magical ring that makes him invisible while he wears it. Played the riddle game with Gollum. Saved the company from the giant spiders of Mirkwood, freed them from the Elvenking, talked to Smaug the dragon, and found the weak point in his armor, information used by Bard the Bowman to kill Smaug. Thorin's cousin from the Iron Hills that comes to aid in Battle of Five Armies, becomes King Under the Mountain at the end. See character of
