X-Men #74 - "Rituals"

Reviews by the Iceman, Marauder

Writer: Joe Kelly    Pencils: Carlos Pacheco

Archangel feels complete now, for his real wings back, so he decides to face his fears at the Morloc sewers- the place where he lost his wings at the beginning. There he meets Abomination - one of The Hulk's oldest Enemies. At the mean time, the wounded Calisto who is being take care by Marrow, goes to bring some water and sees Archangel, who tried to save her at the attack of the Marauders, fights Abomination. Wolverine investigates a mysterious murder, and in the mansion Maggot is dying for Eany and Meany disobeyed him. At the end he finds them, covered with blood. Archangel cannot fly at the sewer, so he is helpless fighting Abomination - Marrow decides to help him. In the same time, someone who is dressed as Colossus enters Calisto's room and gives her a shot. Marrow has to choose between helping Archangel, the beauty which she is a stranger to, or Abomination, the ugly that she is aware of. Archangel explains her that you don't have to be ugly outside to be beautiful inside. Abomination leaves them at the end. Wolverine is after Maggot and at the end wakes up with a scar all over his chest and stomach and Maggot crying "I didn't mean it".

I pretty much liked this chapter, not just because it was educational (that I usually hate), but because Marrow met her "Angel", her hero, and he called her "beautiful". One question I couldn't answer- "Who was that Colossus??"
