X-Men #76 - "A Boykie and his Dinges"

Dr. Reyes inspects Marrow after the last battle they had with the Ru'Tai, and finds scars all over her body. CannonBall enters and finds Marrow without clothes to cover her chest - and he covers his eyes ( he's the youngest X-Man, c'mon! ). Maggot hides from Beast And Dr. Reyes because he doesn't want to be inspected. Wolverine finds Maggot in Storm's room, Maggot says he wants to be alone. Wolvie does not believe him. After a short conversation Maggot in convinced to tell his story. He, Japeth, was born in South Africa. The were five children in his parent's house including him. His stomach was always swollen, the doctors shrugged and said it was Stomach Cancer. He was twelve and smaller than his little brothers. He always felt he was a burden, so Maggot ran away, with his parents truck. What he didn't notice was that his favorite brother, Daniel, was sleeping in the back side of the car. After the truck broke down in the middle of the dessert, both of them were heading for help and to save themselves. They were desperate, and then, they saw some kind of hurricane with lightning surrounding it. Meanwhile, while Maggot's telling the story, Storm goes to pick up the mail, and there she gets a special package from her homeland. Returning to Maggot-Ê The "hurricane" was Magneto, who was surprised to see children in the middle of the dessert. Magneto put his hands on Japeth's head and stomach, and used his magnetic powers. The next thing that happened was a horror. The two slugs came out of his stomach. Maggot became blue, and he became stronger, so that means the slugs are connected to his mutant powers. Magneto returned them to their house that was burned by Americans who wanted to take resources. A war began. His brother, Lot, died when people came to their house. They went the city, there Maggot saw his father fighting. Maggot asked Magneto to help him even if it says killing people. Magneto helped him. Of course Maggot noticed he has a minus to his powers- He has a huge hole in his stomach. Storm has returned to the mansion and opened her package. In the package there was a statue of Ainet, her stepmother, who asked her to help in her village. The statue has disappeared.

I thought this chapter was pretty weird. Maggot says he has more worse secrets... I wonder what those are? About Joseph? and I liked to see Magneto as normal being, helping little children.
