Meanwhile, Clark and Lana are adjusting to their internship at the Bureau for Extra-Normal matters. They learn of Bizarro's return and they also find out that the duplicating machine hs been stolen. Clark leaves in search of Bizarro, while Bizarro steals kryptonite from a research base and leaves a piece with Superboy to kill him. He then takes the rest to Luthor and announces that Superboy is dead. Luthor creates a Bizarro Darla but she explodes due to a flaw in the machine which makes the duplicates unstable. Bizarro tries to kill Luthor. Meanwhile, Superboy rolls off the building roof he is on to escape the kryptonite and begins falling toward the street below.

Bride of Bizarro: Part Two- Superboy's flight power returns in time for him to escape death and find Luthor. He arrives just in time to stop Bizarro from killing Luthor. While Superboy battles Bizarro, Luthor and Darla escape. Later, Luthor broadcasts on TV that at 12 midnight he will aim the duplicating ray at a communications satellite which will beam it into homes creating explosive Bizarro duplicates of the population unless Superboy arrives at his lair first. At midnight the ray is fired and Superboy moves the satellite out of its path. He then arrives at Luthor's lair to be trapped by Bizarro again. Luthor has kidnapped Lana and created a Bizarro Lana (Shanna Teare) and now Bizarro must fulfill his half of the deal. But Bizarro Lana stops him from killing Superboy just as Luthor unleashes an army of Bizarro Luthors. The Bizarro Luthors explode leaving no trace of the lair or the real Luthor. Bizarro and Bizarro Lana fly away together, happy at last.

The Lair- Two hunters driving through the woods encounter a strange creature that causes them to wreck and hit a tree. Matt is sent to investigate the sighting of the creature. Clark and Lana decide to investigate also and Clark meets a hunting group that is going to find and kill the creature. Clark tells them to stay away and leave the creature alone. The hunters go anyway and mistake Lana for the creature as she runs through the woods ahead of them. Clark makes a quick change to Superboy and creates a super-breath windstorm that sends the hunters away screaming. Meanwhile, Lana discovers a lair and a photograph of a family. She and Clark go searching for the creature and are captured by men who work for corrupt businessman Pat Kenderson (same name as the villain in "Troubled Waters") Kenderson wants the creature found and killed and doesn't want Clark and Lana to investigate. He releases them and steps into a back room where he has Matt, who he has captured earlier, held. Back at the Bureau, Clark and Lana meet with a woman who was in the photograph from the lair. She tells Clark and Lana how the photo was stolen from her and how her husband, Michael Carter, died two years earlier. Clark learns that Carter once worked at Lakeside Nuclear Power while the Bureau's resident scientist, Artie, discovers that Lana's canteen is filled with irradiated water. Superboy flies to the lair and finds the creature who is Michael Carter. He was deformed by radiation poisoning while he was dumping irradiated water in the river for Kenderson. One of Kenderson's men shoots Carter while Superboy is talking to him. Carter tells Superboy that Matt was there earlier just before he dies. Superboy confronts Kenderson and finds Matt in the back room. As he moves toward Matt, he is bombarded by an electrical energy web, but escapes it to save Matt. Kenderson escapes, but as he moves out on the river in a boat, two hands from underwater grab him and pull him under..........

The woman announces that her name is Neila and that she wants to marry Superboy. When she sees Superboy is in love with Lana, she disappears. Later, she changes he appearance and goes looking for Lana. Neila convinces Lana she is transferring to the Bureau to work. She and Lana go out to dinner together and Neila accidentaly reveals her identity and draws Superboy to her. She demands that he marry her. If he does not, she will use her unique power to set fire to the city and kill everyone in it. Lana, realizing she is holding Superboy back, jumps off the building roof to save the lives of the city's inhabitants. Superboy rescues her, and Neila returns to her home planet after realizing she can't have Superboy for a husband.

Roads Not Taken: Part One- Luthor and Darla stumble on to an inter-dimensional portal in Dr. Winger's (Kenneth Robert Shippy) lab at Shuster and Lex falls into it. He is taken to another world where another version of Superboy killed another version of him. Darla kidnaps Lana to blackmail Superboy into rescuing Lex but when Superboy confronts him he uses Kryptonite to keep Superboy away. Superboy meets this world's version of himself and again attempts to get Luthor and is stopped again by Kryptonite. (click on the episode title for a more detailed summary)

Roads Not Taken: Part Two- Superboy jumps into the portal again to escape the Kryptonite and is taken to a world where he is a dictator named Sovereign. Lex is killed by the Sovereign's men and Superboy confronts the Sovereign. Before he can do anything, Lana arrives with a piece of Kryptonite attached to a bomb. She backs the Sovereign into a corner and detonates the bomb just as Superboy is rescued by the other world's Superboy. They return to the first world Superboy visited and Superboy picks up Luthor. But Dr. Winger notices the explosion was carried back through the portal with the two Superboy's. Superboy and Lex use a remote inter-dimensional transporter device to escape leaving Winger and the other Superboy in the path of the explosion. It is never known whether they were killed or whether they survived.

The Sons of Icarus- At the Bureau Clark and the others sight a flying African-American man high above the city. Superboy goes to the man who has landed on a tall electrical tower. the man flies up and hits the tower electrocuting himself. His last word is "katia". Later, a group of african-american men is meeting. The flying man was one of their people. Now they need another man to complete the ritual that allows them to fly. They locate Matt, who is a descendant of their people. When the group's leader sees Matt and mentions "katia" Matt becomes interested. Matt attends the groups next gathering. As the ritual starts, the men chant "katia" while beating drums in rhythm. Soon, one of the men lifts into the air. Elsewhere in the city, a fire creature appears and begins to destroy vehicles. Superboy confronts the fire being which disappears just as the flying man lands. Later, Matt quits his job at the Bureau. Clark researches on "katia" and learns that the name means "the flying people". Clark and Lana head to an African bookstore and meet with the owner. She tells them that many years ago, a group of slaves calling themselves "katia" came to a plantation that was located near present-day Capitol City. They used the same ritual to fly away from the plantation. The woman says they settled near Capitol City and she also mentions that each time a member of the katia goes into the sky a fire creature appears on earth. The plantation that the original katia escaped from burned to the ground as they flew off. Meanwhile, the present-day katia begin the ritual again. The creature returns and Superboy fights it. The groups leader tells Matt it's now his turn to fly. Lana arrives at the ruins of the plantation where the ritual is being held. She tells Matt about the fire creature. The other members, who didn't know about the fire creature, refuse to participate anymore. The leader tries to fly by himself and succeeds but the fire creature, being followed by Superboy, passes through him and kills him. Matt is greatly diappointed. "I came so close." he says. Superboy grabs Matt in his arms and flies him into the sky.

Carnival- The Deville Carnival comes to Capitol City. A poor family enters the carnival gates. Deville (Christopher Neame) sees them and drops a wallet full of money on the ground. The poor man, who is spending his last few dollars on the carnival, picks it up and takes the money. He then goes into the house of mirrors with his family and is seperated from them. Deville traps the man, and shows his true colors by stealing the man's soul and locking it up in a trunk. Later, Lana and Matt meet at a bar. Lana tells Matt that everywhere the Deville Carnival goes, people end up missing. The dissappearances have been happening for 108 years. Meanwhile, Superboy chases a lunatic who is holding a woman hostage. He stops the man's car and grabs the man, named Samuels (Greg Allman). Samuels tells Superboy that he will escape and there will be more victims. Superboy nearly loses his temper. Later, Lana goes to Deville's carnival. She starts asking Deville questions. Deville starts talking about Eve, the serpent, and the apple in the Garden of Eden, and how Eve gave in to temptation. Clark arrives at the carnival. After using his super-breath to break up a fight, he encounters many temptations and doesn't give in. Meanwhile, Lana is trapped in the house of mirrors and discovers a secret panel leading to a storage room. She opens the trunk that contains the souls of hundreds of people. Deville appears and says he wants Superboy's soul not hers. Lana screams. Clark hears her scream and busts into the hall of mirrors. There he sees Samuels taking Lana. He grabs Samuels by the neck and once again comes close to losing his temper. When he puts Samuels down, he transforms into Deville. Deville breaks the trunk releasing all the souls he has collected. Lana stands up and tells Superboy he beat Deville. She tries to make Superoy say that he is proud of defeating Deville. Once again, Superboy resists temptation and Lana transforms into Deville. Deville says he will return and disappears taking the entire carnival with him.

The Test of Time- Lana and Clark are walking through a field looking for a strange phenomenon sighted there. Clark sees a strange sort fo tornado that picks him up and throws him back down to the ground. Lana starts to fall. Clark looks down and sees Lana suspended in mid-fall, frozen like a statue. He runs into town and discovers everything is frozen. Cars are stopped, people are like statues. At first, he thinks that time itself is frozen but he soon discovers that a helicopter is flying above him with its blades moving at a very slow speed. Clark reasons that the helicopter should fall if it's blades were slowed down and eventually figures out that everything is still moving at normal speed, however, he has been sped up. He hears a phone ring and runs to answer it. No one is at the other end. Clark changes into Superboy and two trucks come speeding at him. He flies out of their way and they collide and explode. Meanwhile, in a barn two aliens (Eric Conger, Bryce Wood) watch Superboy through a strange device. They plan to claim earth as their world and colonize it since their world no longer has a sun. They are testing Superboy to see how humans would react. Superboy finds another man who has also been sped up. They head to a church. The man continually uses phrases like "none of you". Then he suddenly pulls out a gun and becomes insane. Superboy sees that he is a robot and watches as the robot explodes. The aliens continue to observe. They say that they cannot stay in acceleration mode much longer. They bring Lana in with their strange vortex. Superboy comes after her. The aliens free her while Superboy tells them that he is a typical human being and some humans are even stronger than he is. The aliens had thought all along that he was a normal human. They are in a panic. Their device explodes and kills them. Superboy and Lana return to normal speed with the device gone. Superboy disappears and returns as Clark. Lana and Clark catch a ride back to the Bureau.

Mindscape- A construction worker brings a meteorite to the Bureau. He is pushed over by the opening of a door behind him and the rock is flung across the room. It begins to hum and steam and Superboy comes to investigate. When he picks up the rock it bursts open and a strange life form jumps out and grabs his neck. Superboy passes out. He seemingly awakens and lives the whole incident again, except this time he jumps on top of the meteor which explodes revealing him as Superboy. His secret is out and everyone knows who he really is. Suddenly, however, we realize this is a dream and Superboy is now being helped by Dr. Stern. The alien that attached to him is inducing his dreams and feeding off of his adrenalin. Superboy enters another dream. In this dream he is revealed to be a robot and another Superboy (Lex Luger) arrives claiming to be his replacement. He destroys the Superboy robot and the dream ends with Superboy's fading voice screaming out at Lana. The creature is killing Superboy as he enters a final dream. In this one, Lana tells him that she no longer loves him. She has found herself a new love who she reveals to be Clark Kent. Clark and Superboy duke it out and the dream ends. Superboy is pronounced dead. But his spirit is moving through a strange other-worldly realm. In it, he fights the alien creature and destroys it as the voices of his true parents tell him his time has not come. Superboy returns to life seconds after his death. The alien is defeated.

Superboy...Lost- A 3 and a half ton asteroid is heading on a collision course with earth. Superboy flies into space hoping to stop it. A news anchorman explains that the meteor is made of dense titanium alloy. He then informs the public that NASA has lost contact with Superboy. Superboy hits the meteor in space and it shatters. Superboy is propelled back to earth by the explosion. Later, a woman (Sara Essex) spear-fishing in the wilderness spots Superboy. He has amnesia and doesn't know who he is. The woman, unfortunately, doesn't know him either since she and her son have been living in the wilderness five years hiding from her ex-husband who wants her son, Jeremy (Paul Sutera), back. The woman, named Merissa, brings Superboy into her cabin and helps him out. Suddenly, Jeremy is grabbed while walking in the woods. Clark runs after him and is hit by the kidnapper's truck, but unharmed. Clark saves Jeremy and the kidnapper runs away. Merissa tells Clark that when she was 16 she met her husband Damon (Kevin Quigley) and joined his cult. She later had Jeremy and left Damon. She took Jeremy into hiding to keep him away from his father. Jeremy is kidnapped by more of his father's cult. Clark goes after him and runs so fast that he takes off flying. He follows their truck back to the cult's headquarters. After being taken inside, Jeremy sees a newspaper with Superboy's picture on it. He realizes that this is the man they have been keeping. Clark busts in to the hideout. He uses his newly discovered (for now anyway) powers to stop the members of the cult. He flies Jeremy back to Merissa. Jeremy shows Clark the newspaper and suddenly Clark's memories return to him as he sees the picture. Superboy says goodbye to Jeremy and Merissa and then heads to the Bureau to let Lana know that he is all right.

Special Effects- A film director is murdered by a strange monster. Jackson sends Clark and Lana to interview the only witness to the murder, a 10-year old boy. The boy shows them a movie poster with the exact same monster on it. More murders occur. Clark and Lana head to the movie studio to meet with the studio's make-up artist, Max Von Norman (Richard Marcus). He tells them that his make-up supplies were stolen weeks ago. Clark and Lana are surprised by their old college friend Andy McCalister who is working as an intern at the studio. Later, another monster appears. Clark hears a woman scream and changes into Superboy. He confronts the monster when Von Norman kills it with a flame thrower. Superboy discovers that this monster is real and not just a man wearing make-up. Max Von Norman talks to these creatures at his home. He tells them that Superboy killed their companion, Ajax. The creatures came from a dimensional rift that Von Norman's father found. One creature, Caliban (Barry Meyers), overhears Andy saying that Von Norman killed Ajax. He kidnaps Andy. Meanwhile, Lana goes to a party at Von Norman's home. She snoops around and discovers the rift. Von Norman captures her and holds her hostage. Back at the studio, Clark discovers Andy is gone. He heads to Von Norman's as Superboy and arrives just in time to stop Von Norman from throwing Lana into the dimensional doorway. The other monsters attack Superboy blaming him for Ajax's death until Caliban shows up with Andy and tells them that Von Norman is the one who killed Ajax. The creatures send Von Norman into the rift and step in behind him. Caliban releases Andy and steps in also, sealing the doorway behind him.

Neila and the Beast- One night a field is suddenly set ablaze with flames that form an s-shield. Superboy arrives at the field long after the fire has been extinguised. As soon as he arrives, Neila (Christine Moore) teleports to the field. She says that the commoners on her world have killed all of the aristocrats and warriors. They have sent a creature to kill her and she needs Superboy's protection. Suddenly, a beast (Tom Akas) appears. Superboy and Neila stop it and Neila teleports away. She arrives at the Bureau and takes her human appearance. She finds Lana and says she needs Lana's help to find a mate. Lana agrees to help and takes Neila to a bar where she meets Mitch (Terence Jenkins) and falls in love. Meanwhile, two men plot Neila's death. They have a special machine that focuses the energy of a crystal and uses it as destructive energy. One of these two men is Mitch, who is actually a commoner from Neila's world. At the Bureau, the beast that came after Neila awakens and escapes. Superboy follows it and discovers that it loves Neila. Meanwhile, Neila and Lana arrive at Mitch's apartment for dinner. Lana leaves Neila and Mitch alone and as Neila gets up to pour a glass of wine she is blasted by the focusing machine. Superboy and the beast burst in. The beast grabs Mitch and a blast from the machine hits them both, killing them. Neila is all right but weakened. A small energy creature exits the beast's body. It had been there all along and it was this creature that loved Neila. It inhabits Mitch's body. Now Neila and the alien fall in love.

Golem- Two Jewish men walk down the street and watch as a group of Neo-nazis demolishes a Jewish-owned store. One man, Levi (Victor Helou), decides he wants to do something about bigots like them and sculpts a golem, a creature of enormous strength, out of mud in his basement. After Levi performs a ritual, the golem awakens and the mud cracks away to reveal a powerful man. Levi tells the golem its purpose is to rid the world of bigots and Levi also says he will point out the bigots to the golem. Meanwhile at the Bureau, Levi's friend tells Clark, Lana, and Matt about the golem. He says that it has a Jewish sign of life over it's heart. Back in the Jewish community, Levi encounters more Neo-nazis and sends the golem to attack them. But while it fights them it accidentally kills Levi. It then leaves looking for more bigots without Levi's guidance. Clark and Lana begin looking for the golem. They find it as it is attacking some policemen at a gas station. Clark becomes Superboy and goes after the golem. Just as he has it, a man drives toward Superboy and the golem and allows the golem to escape Superboy's grasp. Later, Superboy warns the Neo-nazi group that the golem is on the loose and looking for them. He changes back to Clark and joins Lana as they look for the man who helped the golem escape. They find the man, named Daniel, and learn that he was protecting Superboy from the golem. He says the only way to stop it is to remove the mark over its heart. Meanwhile, the golem learns of a Nazi march in less than an hour. He busts into the Neo-nazis meeting place and a fire is accidentally started when a torch is thrown. Superboy and Daniel arrive to confront the golem. Daniel tries to tell the golem it doesn't have to kill people. It has a choice. the golem won't listen, so Daniel uses a piece of burning wood to remove the mark from its chest. the building explodes and Daniel steps out, alive and unharmed, with the golem who reverts back to its mud form. As Daniel walks away, we see the Jewish mark of life on his chest.

A Day in the Double Life- Three on the run criminals speed into a junkyard with Superboy on their tail. They use the junkyard machinery to drop junk cars on top of him. He steps out from under the cars and captures the crooks. He then speeds back to the Bureau realizing he is late. Jackson is looking everywhere for him when he walks in the door. Clark tells Jackson he had an emergency. Jackson gives Clark a diary and tells him to write down everything he does the next day so that he can find out what all these little "emergencies" are. The next morning Clark wakes up and shatter his clock radio. He goes through his dailry routine of shaving with heat vision and reading the paper. He leaves for work and misses his bus, but he "arranges other transportation" by flying to work as Superboy. At the Bureau, two agents Harris (Allyce Beasly) and Keller (Tom Kouchalakos) are arguing as usual. Matt gives Clark two tickets to a benefit and Clark asks Lana is she'd like to go with him. As they look out the window they spot a traffic director going nuts and directing cars right into each other. Superboy heads down to stop him. He discovers the man bought his badge and is wearing foil on his head to "keep the voices out". Soon, Lana agrees to go with Clark to the benefit just before the police call saying they found Harris and Keller's car on the side of the road burned out, with no sign of Harris and Keller. Superboy flies out looking for them and finds them walking along the side of the road arguing. He watches them from a distance and blows Harris into Keller's arms. The two fall in love instantly. Clark turns in his diary of the days events cleverly changed so as not to give any clue of his identity. Jackson concludes Clark has the most boring existence of anyone he knows.

Body Swap- A family in an out of control car is rescued by Superboy who in return steals their car and drives off. Meanwhile, Lana is confronted by a good Luthor who tells her that he is in fact Superboy and was tricked by Luthor who switched their minds into each other's bodys. Lana doesn't believe him until Superboy arrives at her home wanting to "deepen their relationship to a new level". Lex aka Superboy searches for a way to reverse the process and finds the doctor who did the mind transfer dead, murdered by Luthor. Superboy is captured and taken to prison. He is sentenced to death and Lana arrives to break him free in the nick of time. They devise a plan to get Superboy back into his rightful body. They go to Luthor's hideaway and allow Luthor to bring Superboy in to be electocuted. There after the switch is pulled by Luthor, their minds are switched and return to their rightful owners.

Rebirth, Part 1- A terrorist group from a foreign country invades Capitol City and steals an armored truck's shipment of weapons. Superboy arrives during the heist and upon seeing that the two truck drivers are about to be run down by their own truck, he blows over the top of the drivers and onto a car behind them. The car and the truck explode. When the police come to investigate, they find the dead body of the gang's leader, Winston (Jospeh Pickney), inside the car. A man, Mayall (Michael Owens), says he witnessed everything and saw Superboy deliberately blow the truck onto the car. Superboy is extremely confused, since he x-rayed the car before the incident, and found no one inside. Later, when someone else almost dies at the hands of the gang's new leader Llewellyn (Gregory Millar) because of him, Superboy decides it's best for him to leave. He says goodbye to Lana and returns home to Smallville. There he decides he will never use his powers again.

Rebirth, Part 2- Back in Capitol City, the terrorist group now led by Llewellyn is preparing to take over the city. They plan to raid a military base using the weapons they stole earlier. One member of the group, Desmond (Kevin Benton), doesn't think the death of Winston was as much of an accident as it seemed. He kidnaps witness Mayall and tries to find out what really happened that night. In Smallville, Clark and his father prepare to drill a new well. As Pa Kent is getting ready, his arm is caught in the machine and will be torn off in seconds. Clark rushes to his Pa, using his powers once again to save him. Clark then realizes that his powers will be needed no matter where he goes. He returns to Capitol City. Meanwhile, Lana has been trying to clear Superboy's name. She too is kidnapped by Desmond. Now the clock is ticking for Lana and Mayall. Clark is on his way to the Mayall's apartment when he stops to eavesdrop on whats happening. He hears the real story. After the car was already burning, Winston was pushed into the burning car by Llewellyn. Superboy stops the bomb attached to the witness and goes after the gang, already breaking into the military base. He stops their onslaught of terror and saves the city from their reign. But as he leaves, Desmond, who now knows the truth about Winston's death, shoots Llewellyn in cold blood.

Werewolf- While Jackson is griping to Matt and Lana about using too many office supplies, a young woman named Christina Riley (Paula Marshall) brings in a video with possible proof of a werewolf. Clark examines the tape with super-vision and sees something suspicious, so he decides to help Christina. Christina thinks a Mr. Canaris (Robert Winston) is the werewolf. Christina tells Clark that anyone who is scratched by the werewolf will become one and if the original werewolf is killed, the curse will be lifted from its victims. Clark and Christina search for Canaris and locate him at his office. Christina disappears as Canaris, now in werewolf form, busts down the door and comes after Clark, who makes a swift change to Superboy. The werewolf charges toward Superboy and misses him. It then falls and is impaled on a silver dagger. It dies and transforms back to Canaris. The next morning, Christina returns to the Bureau. Clark takes Christina to Universal Studios with him since Mr. Jackson gave him passes for being the most improved employee. Meanwhile, Lana and Matt discover Christina was Canaris' research assistant. They also learn another werewolf was loose after Canaris was killed. Matt believes Christina is the new werewolf. He says that many books about werewolves say the curse cannot be lifted unless the werewolf itself is killed and that the werewolf will go after the one it loves, in this case Clark. Matt and Lana follow Clark to Orlando and Matt stops off on the way to buy a silver bullet. At Orlando, Christina runs out on Clark after learning that tonight is another full moon. She transforms into a werewolf and goes after Clark. Superboy arrives carrying a set of iron bars to keep her from scratching him. Christina runs away from him and Lana tells Superboy that she is the werewolf. He changes to Clark to lure her out of hiding. He finds her and tries to help her, but just as she comes toward him she is shot from behind by Matt. She dies and reverts to her original form.

Jackson and Hyde- Gail Payton (Heather Ehlers) brings a powerful elixir to Jackson. She says it gives anyone enormous strength and she leaves it with Jackson to be tested. On the way home, Jackson narrowly avoids a collision and his car is overturned. He is trapped but after drinking some of the elixir is able to break off the car door and escape. Not only is he strong, but he is also made insane. He proceeds to beat up the man who tried to help him but couldn't. The next morning, Jackson arrives in a very good mood. Matt talks to Jackson about the accident and then he and Jackson head out on a UFO case to a country music singer's home. The woman is named Elissa, and Jackson begins to fall in love with her. That night, he visits Payton again asking for more elixir. He leaves and Payton follows him to the civic center where Elissa is singing. Jackson enters her dressing room after drinking more elixir. She runs into the parking lot to get away from him and he follows her. He is driven mad once again and searches the lot for her. She hides in a car and suddenly, the window is smashed and she is killed. The next day, Jackson goes to Payton's home. So far there have been two beating deaths. Elissa's was the second. Jackson finds more of the elixir and drinks it. He finds Payton hiding. She has also taken the elixir and is just as mad now as Jackson is. Matt, who has followed Jackson, comes in and is attacked by Jackson. Jackson luckily resists the elixir's effects as Superboy arrives to stop Payton. Payton says she is the one who killed both Elissa and another woman earlier, not Jackson. Superboy confronts her and she falls down the stairs and is killed. The elixir is destroyed and Jackson returns to normal.

The People vs. Metallo- Metallo (Micahel Callan) is on trial for his crimes against humanity and the star witness in the trial is Superboy himself. As Superboy is prepared to give his testimony, a man enters the court room with a canister of what he says is oxygen for Mr. Corben (Metallo). But when it's given to Metallo, he reveals kryptonite inside. Metallo breaks free, but instead of running from the court room, he decides to stay and show the jury that they have been told lies about him. He tells them that Superboy is the cause of all his problems and that Superboy is the real menace. Lana steps up to defend Superboy and proves to the court that Metallo is the menace and needs to be stopped. The jury, no longer afraid of what Metallo will do, declares him guilty. As the people in the court room stand up to Metallo, Lana sees her opportunity and pulls the kryptonite out of Metallo's robot body. Now that Superboy has recovered from his kryptonite exposure, he thanks Lana for coming to his defense.

Mine Games- Luthor has taken Lana to an abandoned mine and Superboy follows him to discover Luthor has set a trap. He pulls out a piece of kryptonite and the boy of steel loses his powers. The mine begins to collapse, and when it does Lana is seperated from Luthor and Superboy. Without powers, Superboy can't get himself and Luthor out. And he can't regain his powers with the kryptonite nearby. He and Luthor discover a battery buried in the mine walls. They dig it out only to discover it has no lead in it whatsoever, only some carbon alloy. Luthor and Superboy begin to do some soul-searching thinking there is no way out and they will soon die from the lack of oxygen. But when Luthor and Superboy discover they're in a lead mine they have found their way out. Superboy uses what's left of his heat vision to melt a hole in the wall of the mine. Liquified lead pours out and hardens as Luthor wraps it around the kryptonite. Superboy then blasts his way out and finds Lana. As he leaves the mine, Luthor reveals that he still intends to kill Superboy. He surrounds the Boy of Steel with small kryptonite chunks so that he can escape. Somehow he keeps himself from killing Superboy and leaves saying that he will hate himself in the morning.

Wish for Armageddon- Superboy begins to have strange dreams. He dreams that the soviets are attacked by an American missle and moments later wakes up to learn that his dream has come true. He visits another man who had dreams of the future. This man (Marc Macaulay) dreamed that a plane crashed and did nothing to stop it. Everyone on the plane died and he blames himself for not doing anything. Clark receives no help from the man. Later, Clark dreams that a soviet oil pipeline is torn apart. Again, it does happen. After this incident Clark realizes that he is causing these things to happen. He WAS the missle that attacked Russia, and he tore apart the pipeline. A man named Garrett Waters (Robert Miano) was working for the homeless and had Superboy sign a Declaration of Principles that said all homeless people had the right to food and shelter. The contract, however, was drafted by the devil himself with the blood of a newborn baby. It allows Waters to control Superboy. Waters was once a monk long ago. He killed a young girl who cursed him. Now he is immortal and the only way to end his misery is to end the world. He had once controlled Hitler and other evil men in history. He has Superboy plant a bomb in the hotel room of the Russian premier. The man who Clark talked to earlier, dreams about Waters controlling Superboy. He tries to stop Waters and sets the contract on fire. Superboy breaks free of Water's control and takes Waters to trial. Waters is sentenced to imprisonment for the rest of his natural life.

Standoff- The Bureau employees have gathered at a local bar to have a going-away party for a co-worker named Fran (Frances Peach) when suddenly a man at the bar (Tom Schuster) pulls out a gun and aims it at the bartender. Clark slips away to change to Superoy, but is caught by another crook. (Philip J. Celia) The two men hold everyone in the bar hostage. Soon, there is a knock on the door. Matt answers it and is met by a policeman who is looking for two criminals that escaped from the courthouse that morning. One crook grabs Lana and holds her at gunpoint so that Matt will get rid of the policeman. Clark meets up with Lana again and learns of a boy who flies that was spotted in the jungle. He goes with Lana to look for the boy. Meanwhile, two others have already found the boy. The Luthor and Darla of this world have found him and have convinced him that they are his parents. Now he will be ready to do their bidding at a moments notice. Clark discovers that Luthor has the kid and arrives as Superboy to get the child out of Luthor's hands. The Road to Hell, Part 2- Superboy is dying. An alternate Lex Luthor on Dr. Winger's world is trying to save him. He realizes only one person can save Superboy's life. Luthor heads to the Bureau and finds a retired Superman there. He convinces this Superman to help him save Superboy. Superboy awakens and grabs Luthor by the throat. Superman hits him and tells him to stop because this is not the Luthor he knows. Superboy realizes who the older man standing beside him is because he knows no one else could hurt him by hitting him that way. Superman tells Superboy about his life. He landed in the 30's and became Superboy after World War II. Now, he is retired and living a somewhat normal life. Superboy recovers from his wound. He is about to return to his own world, but he convinces Superman that he needs to help the boy and give him a chance to be a hero. Superboy steps into the portal and heads back to the other world. Superboy arrives just in time to stop Luthor from killing the boy with a kryptonian crystal. Suddenly, the young Kal-el realizes Luthor is not his father. He throws Luthor into a display case in a museum. As Superboy prepares to leave, Superman appears. He takes the boy with him so he can help this younger version of himself become the hero he should be. Clark reveals his identity to the Lana of this world and then returns home to his own world.
