Simon was born on Earth in 2332. He graduated Starfleet at the age of 20 and married Sara Henderson shortly afterwards. Their son, Parker was born on Bilana III a year after their marriage. His wife, Sara was a Starfleet geologist also and was killed in a mine explosion on Doraf I, seven years later.

Simon was promoted to Lt. Cmdr. after rescuing 63 miners in that incident.

Simon enjoys his friends and has many, but few close ones as he is a very private person who doesn't show his feelings easily. He is a good listener and is very loyal to his friends and family. In 2381, Simon married Dr. Mira Montgomery on Earth.

His son, Parker is an archeologist who married Anna Chamberland on September 16, 2380. Anna is a roving Ambassador from Earth. They have one child, a daughter, Sara Augusta, born December 3, 2380.

Simon was recently promoted to full Commander and now serves as Chief Science Officer on Starbase 114.

In 2382 Simon discovered that he had a son by artificial insemination. He and his wife, Mira Montgomery decided to adopt the child. One month later, Mira discovered she was pregnant and left her CMO position aboard the USS Alliance to come live on Starbase 114. She is the new CMO of the starbase.

Simon and Mira live on the starbase with their two children, Sam and Grace.
