An internal way of hiding from the
external world
The mind turns within itself like
a top that's been twirled
Reality becomes blurred as the
mind spins faster
We deceive ourselves into thinking
we are the masters
Time loses meaning as our addiction
grows stronger
The delusions become real and last
longer and longer
Soon we find ourselves spinning
out of control
Spinning at the edge of our
very own black hole
As our addiction becomes impossible
for us to resist
We topple and plunge into an
endless abyss
No longer living in a real
time and place
We have become prisoners of
our own innerspace.
