People spend their lives
Wanting their turn,
Not realizing that it's
Something they must earn.
They have this idea that
It's something they are owed,
But you cannot reap what
you have not sowed.
They blame everyone around
Them for their plight,
As they let the days of their lives
Pass into the night.
They never learn that
They have the power to create,
They become satisfied
As they sit there and wait.
Before they know it their
Lives have come to an end,
And they never figured
out when to begin.
