on errant feet, from surer paths I stray though as my step becomes both tried and true and for my labored ramblings may I know as though in peace, shall my heart upward soar
into the oldest secrets of mankind.
enlightenment shall guide me on my way
as winking doubts escape my wearied mind.
as only learned walkways may inspire,
new, unknown roads will only help renew
the dwindling embers of creation's fire.
more of god and man and things divine
than any human being should be shown
as angels whisper secrets so sublime.
to rest against god's bosom evermore.
