Ways to Help Red Cross: Donate to the Disaster Relief Fund New York State World Trade Center Relief Fund The September 11 Fund: Contributions will be used to help respond to the immediate and longer-term needs of the victims, their families, and communities affected by the events of September 11. Salvation Army Disaster Relief Fund: The Salvation Army sees to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of families, individuals, and emergency personnel involved in the disasters. Aid is given to those affected both directly and indirectly by this tragedy. Donations can be made online or by phone at 1-800-SAL-ARMY (1-800-725-2769). The NY Fallen Firefighters and Rescue Workers Fund: Proceeds raised will go to the families of the firefighters killed in the Trade Center attack. MercyCorps: Mercy Corps supports organizations that provide counseling for survivors, emergency personnel, and families of the victims. They also support organizations that provide scholarship funds for children who lost parents in the attacks. Blood Donations: They are overstocked now, but will need blood donations in several weeks.
