There are many misconceptions about the theory and practice of anarchism. Contary to belief, anarchism does not call for the abandonment of all civilized behaviour or for the total destruction of society. It does not promote violent chaos. Closely akin to the interrelated ideas of social ecology and progressive/left politics, anarchism is mostly concerned with the eradication of hiearchy and domination in society.
