Entering the Battle
SPACE Cain’s wounds seem superficial, though the arachnid poison has taken its toll.
SPACE The wounded elf seems battle-worthy, though. He puts away his scythes and uncoils a long, leather whip. He glances at Cyrdan with a twisted smile.
SPACE “There’s more,” he says, the tone in his voice unnerves Cyrdan. It almost sounds like glee.
SPACE Following the scream, they enter a hallway lit softly in a red hue. Using their infravision, the two elves come upon the end of a battle. One man lies face down in the water to their right. A dead spider lies off to the left. A second spider, rearing on its back four legs, has a weaponless dwarf pinned down in the water.
SPACE Without a second thought, Cyrdan notches an arrow and lets the string loose.
