DA:How long have you been in GeoCities?
I've had a homepage in GeoCities for more than two years now.

DA:What brought you to GeoCities? What is the thing you like the best?
I found GeoCities by accident. I was looking for information on HTML and stumbled accross it...and the rest is history! The best thing about GeoCities is the customer service...from the CLs on up the ladder! Geo is really more like a family than a company.

DA:How long have you been a liaison?
I've became a liaison assistant in February 1999.

DA:What exactly is a liaison? Can you describe your duties?
A liaison is the conduit between the volunteer community leaders and the GeoCities staff. I'm a liaison assistant....my job is to take some of the load off of our co-liaison's Melisa and Ana. I'm responsible for managing the community leader (CL) projects...I make sure all the CLs are involved in at least one community project as well as update the CL structure pages. I'm also one of two mediators for Athens...this means when CL #1 has a dispute with CL #2, I step in as an objective observer and help resolve the problem. As a mediator, I also advise the co-liaisons.

DA:What is the best thing about Athens?
Hands down...it's the people! I enjoy meeting people and making new friends.

DA:If you could give out one piece of advice to those interested in Athens, what would it be?
Don't get discouraged! At first building a webpage can be a little overwhelming, but stick to your vision and make it a reality. Seek out the CLs when you need help!!

DA:What are you personal interests?
I'm an avid reader...I love the classics, but my passion is poetry.

DA:How would you like to be thought of: in Athens? in real life?
If I am remembered, I would like to be thought of as a man of integrity.

DA:What is your biggest contribution to the Athenian philosophy?
I'm no philosoher, but I do believe in free thought and expression within ethical guidelines and I believe my contribution lies in helping others find their voice on the web.

DA:Anything you would like to add about yourself that the readers may be interested in?
Just this thought -- Heraclitus, a Greek Poet, once said: The soul is dyed the color of it's thoughts. Think only on those things that are in line with your principles and can bear the full light of day. The content of your character is your choice. Day by day, what you choose, what you think, and what you do is who you become. Your integrity is your destiny...it is the light that guides your way.
These are words to live by.

DA:Thank you for your time Jody.
