LEX and Mr. JONES

A branding at the Ranch.
Mr. Jones in left top of pic.

Lance..Lex..Jones
Mr. Jones was the family pet.
He was gentle. He was cow-savvy.
Jones was the best all-around horse I ever saddled up.
He didn't win any blue ribbon trophies...and he didn't need to! |

SUSIE & LANCE

LIZARD & BOYS
Some ponies are really rank
and ornery. They don't receive the proper training.
But these two ponies were exceptional.
They were gentle and trustworthy.

MISS QUAPAW & JEFF

Jeff was the only one who showed an
interest in the show ring.
He made Mom proud when he and Cupie Doll won a blue ribbon at the
Santa Barbara National Junior Horse Show.

LANCE & OSCAR

Lance was interested in gymcana
events and calf riding.
Lance would ride bareback with the reins in his teeth.
Oscar was Lance's horse and they created a real get up and GO kinda pair!

Look close! See the 2 boys?

Awh haw! Here they are!
Lex was no dummy.
Came show time and he and his friend would find a nice cool place,
such as inside the horse trailer, to hang out and eat COOKIES!!!
LOL

The entire family enjoyed Archery.

There were many horses on the
Ranch.
Some special, some not so special to me..
Laddie, a palomino mare was just "plum lazy".
There was an old gray brood mare, named "Gray".
A Dappled gray gelding named "Joe"... a roping horse.
A black pony/horse named Ringo was a good little horse for the kids.
A buckskin named "Buck". Just try to catch him in the pasture!
:-( :-(
All of the horses will be remembered for the warm love
and the dream come true, rich memories they brought into my life.
They were all "just" horses, but each unique in his or her own way.
They added sugar and spice to sixteen years of living and playing in
