Working in my woodshop is my favorite way to spend a day. Here I am assembling a cypress swing. I designed an entire line of patio furniture which I now market as "Apple Mountain Patio Furniture."

I have exhibited my furniture in many arts and crafts shows over many years. I have won many awards for my designs and craftsmanship. One of the most meaningful was the "Mary McGrath Award" presented by the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce during the Fairhope Arts & Crafts Show to the most outstanding local artist.

Ah! The sweet rewards of hard work! This breath-taking view is available while sitting in one of my swings atop Fort Mountain at the Cohutta Lodge between Ellijay and Chatsworth, Georgia.

North Georgia Mountains...

It had been a lifelong dream to someday have a cabin in the mountains. That dream was realized in February, 1997, when we bought our cabin on Walnut Mountain near Ellijay, GA, which is in Gilmer County. In front we have a small apple orchard and a panoramic view of neighboring mountains.
