The Face in the Frame

"Come with us to a land of enchantment. Let us strengthen your imagination. Let us open your eyes. Let us teach you with light and laughter.

Trees and flowers and music and light. Sunshine and birds and lots of light.

There are many visual images that we can give to you to help you get into the right frame of mind. It is frame of mind that inhibits and also expands. A paradox of intriguing possibilities and devastating limiting restraints.

What frame of mind do you picture yourself in? Can you see yourself as a picture in a frame? What is the size and shape and what is the construction of the frame. Is it sturdy, is it small, is it modern, old, unique, common? An amusing idea to picture one's self in a frame. Yet each person does this on a daily basis. Some have expandable frames and some have sturdy, strong, even hard frames. The possibilities of this example can go on and on. What is important is what is inside the frame.

There you are. Yes, you. No one else. You. Is it easy to look at yourself? Are you shy, or amused, or perhaps disgusted or dismayed? It's a one of a kind picture, you know. There is no other like it. And you are the painter. You are the creator. You are the builder.

One might call this a moving picture because it is never the same. Time and age pass and images change and we see a different picture. Perhaps you have not really looked at that 'picture' for a long time. Maybe you glanced at it a few times but have not really looked. What is there? What has changed? Are you satisfied with what you see?

We, of course, assume that you are looking not just at the outer appearance, but the inner appearance as well. This is much harder to see and it is much harder for people to distinguish what is there. Besides it takes time and there does not seem to be a time set aside by many for reflection.

Living inside a shell is a difficult task. Living and working together with that shell is also a challenging lifetime work. Have you thought of the 'shell,' the body, and how you are creating and changing it. Are you even aware of it?

How often have you taken time, even a moment, to consider how well you, the real you, is doing? And who is the real you? Is it the face in the frame that you show the world? Does the inner face show itself only in rare moments or not at all? Or are you one of those who let the inner face meet the world?

Consider the aspects of the mind on the body. Consider the aspects of the mind of the soul. Consider YOU.

                With Love."
