Conflicts

"Sometimes there are misunderstandings or conflicts that have positive results in the end. This is the case when goals which seem to be agreed upon are reached by different paths. It is a busy time, it is a trying time. There are many conflicts in daily experiences and activities of life. These must be faced and handled in a way that they do not become a burden, piling up and overflowing to the next day until they become overwhelming.

As each person approaches each day, there will be pitfalls along the way, somewhat like stepping carefully so that something sharp does not cut a foot. We cannot go through life stepping gingerly and timidly in such a way that the journey is slowed and at times seems to have come to a stop. Moving too quickly does not give a chance to observe the journey you are on. So one must find a balance, a midway type of movement that is not too slow or too fast which will aid the daily decision process to be in place.

Conflicts, if possible, should be dealt with in a way that the progress of life is not disturbed. By progress, we mean that the conflicts are incorporated into the other events so that there is not a total upset and disorientation type of living.

Seeing conflicts as a part of life instead of the whole is a balancing step that helps to make life a balanced experience. Mentally place value on the entire experience of the day, the conflicts as part of what needs to be solved but not the core of what life is about.

Seeking help or solving these problems alone, it does not matter, but recognizing the importance of centering self and staying somewhat removed emotionally from the problem is to see the conflicts in a better perspective.

Inner conflict causes problems to escalate, to become bigger in the mind. To keep even serious conflicts down to a manageable size, one must find the comfort centering station within. Take a few moments to just be still, to put aside the worries and the problems, to give yourself space. To be in the moment, however transitory, will give an opening for the spirit within to take a rest. This resting time allows the mind to work with the spirit in reaching for solutions to problems."
