"To heal is to mend, to repair, to become whole. To heal is to change, to re-work or re-vitalize. To heal is to restore balance and strength. To heal is to take an imbalance in the system and create a different structure. Healing covers so many areas and there has been such an advance in discoveries that in this time period, many are aware that new procedures are being found and created at a seemingly fast pace. Sometimes the pace is too fast and good advances are not always accepted freely simply because there is a jump forward from one mode or model to another. It is like just getting used to a particular thing and then having to adjust to a newer approach.
Healing means different things to different people. If you are slowly recovering from an accident or an emotional trauma, you might say "I'm healing". You are aware that there is a process being carried on and that there is time needed. Some individuals are comfortable with this span of time needed to heal and some are not. In truth, healing comes in so many different ways, that one is sometimes not conscious of what has happened - only that they feel different.
It appears that there needs to be much healing done on earth. There is healing of the bodies as the most evident type of healing, but there is emotional healing needed also. We carry too much weight when we try to handle too much healing. We get caught up in the process, which is necessary to some degree, for we can hardly remain separate from it, but we forget to look at the overall picture. To heal is to maintain the parts or pieces that fit together. One can heal a particular part of the body and it is pronounced 'well' but how has the process changed the rest of the parts? There is an increase in well being and a much happier outlook, but the change affects all parts. For most people, once the healing is done, it is accepted and forgotten. This is good in that one shouldn't dwell on imbalances, but when a change has been made, it is also good to take time to look at the attitude change as well as the emotional and entire physical change.
You have heard the expression "good as new". This may be as far as the eye can see, but there is still an inward change. It may not be evident and conclusions may not be able to be reached but it is still an idea to explore. When there is illness or pain and that is removed or taken care of, consider the effect that the change has had as far as the body being a home for the spiritual, mental, and emotional fields. Just by being aware, you may find that there are slight differences that you may not have otherwise noticed. Observing these changes and thinking on the differences can give insight into better balancing. This may seem hard to understand as there are no particular steps to follow, but just become aware. How do you feel different after the change? How does that feeling show in your expression toward the world? How has it helped you to regain a sense of balance? How has it changed you? Ask yourself these questions and also come up with your own questions which will help you to see what is being accomplished when healing takes place."
