"Flowers are used to celebrate re-birth, to honor, to sooth, to give pleasure, to bring beauty. Flowers are a wonderful gift of life and beauty in one package. Some people have a gift of arranging and coordinating in such a way that it gives an entirely new picture. Flowers have scent and color that seems unending in its variety. We have favorites based on growth or shape or color and we even have very strong dislikes toward some because of their strength or the feeling we get when around them.
What is less known is that flowers have energy around them and in them as do all plants. This energy is projected outward in a sharing kind of way, and of course there is more abundance of this when they are taken care of in a loving way. The energy is based on the shape and the color of the flower. There is more intensity and awareness in some plants and sometimes the frequency of that energy is what does not 'fit' the personality of the person observing it. When you have a garden, and you choose flowers, choose something a bit different than what you usually like or favor. By doing so, you add a different vibrational energy to your environment. If something seems intriguing but not exactly comfortable, try just one plant and see if it affects you the same way after you have worked with it. If you do not have a garden, the same can go for flowers that are added to the house or apartment - try a variety, see how it changes your environment and your feeling. If you do not have the means to be around flowers, try to see them in the out of doors. Those who live in cities sometimes do not have the influence of flowers and do not know what they are missing.
As we move through time, the plants and flowers around us will become more visible to us. They will increase in their importance and we will not take them so for granted as we do now.
One flower can speak volumes whether it is a gift being handed to someone or whether it is one flower in the environment standing alone. Fields of flowers leave us in awe and the palette of colors we have to choose from allows us to experiment with many, many different combinations. As you open yourself to experiencing flowers in a different way, you may find your sensitivity being increased so that it opens up the world around you in an exciting and different way. Flowers are here to teach as well as to share their beauty. The 'language' of flowers is subtle, but if you listen well, and observe carefully, you will learn their lessons well."
