Ribbons

      Well, I don't sew, so why would I be interested in reading about ribbons? Ribbons seem to be associated with the feminine unless it's an award ribbon earned in some competition. There is a lesson there perhaps. We wouldn't look at a ribbon in one form, but if we look at it in a different form and representing achievement, then it takes on an entirely different meaning. We think of ribbons as cloths of different textures and colors used in decorative ways for packaging or wearing, but we seldom think of it as other than cloth.

      The word ribbon can be thought of as a flowing of energy,or a ribbon of thought though that is seldom used as an association. Suppose a ribbon is narrowed to a part of its make-up, meaning a thread, then it is easier to think of a thread of thought. There are bands of threads which make up a wider band of thought. It is a mental creation and though it may seem difficult to imagine, the thoughts can carry the energy of different color frequencies. Using one's imagination, one can see that if groups of individuals create the same thought with the same color energy, then the band of energy would be much more harmonious than if there were so many frequency changes that the blend was not as smooth. And, if thought in itself carries energy plus the energy of the color, then we have beautiful creations or bands of ribbons.

      These ribbons can be woven together with thought and made quite strong. Strength is not always needed or wanted for at times the lightweight ribbon is more suitable. So what are we talking about here? Technically, it would be very difficult to explain, so we must use a common object such as a ribbon. If this band of created energy, colored ribbon of thought is sent with intent, it can flow through space as does all other energies. With skill and practice, those who are mentally strong and skilled can learn to weave ribbons of thought with such craftsmanship that it is like sending a coded message through space. What would be the purpose of this? Communication would the main key, as mental ribbons can flow far if they are well constructed. The wider bands would flow slower than the smaller but again, with skill, would carry more information. Those who have the talent of "sight" would be able to perceive the creation and actually inspect the band to test its final form. With this kind of creation, one could communicate with those near and far. It is a difficult concept and perhaps difficult to do, but then again, ribbons are awarded for achievement.
