In the earth world there is much strife. If one
could see all the
energy that is sent out with strife it would be
as a blinding force. At
times it seems that there is nothing but strife,
from the one on one
individual strife, to the type of strife that
comes in relationships, to
group strife. One group with opposing views
reacts to the other group
and creates the energy and receives the energy
that creates strife.
We have individual strife. It would seem that if
two people could be
harmonious and two or more groups or nations
could also create harmony,
that there would be peace. However, there is
individual strife.
Sometimes the strife comes from the inner being
of a person and does not
have any outward focal point as to its cause.
There is strife
individually when we try to accomplish something
and are thwarted by
situations that deprive us of our goal or strife
when we want to change
a pattern and cannot do so, but other times there
is strife - an unrest
with no name. This strife would seem to be a
negative thing for it puts
us in combat with ourselves. Obviously this kind
of combat leads to
stress and sometimes illness. It is difficult to
have harmony when we
do not know the cause of the disharmony. So what
can we do about this
fight? Some look for answers in unhealthy ways
and some search for
answers through the religious or spiritual path.
There is no one answer
to all disharmony, but steps can be taken. Even
the steps are not a one
size fits all type of thing. Each person must
tailor it to fit
individually. *Start by being yourself. Not as
easy as it sounds for
who are you? * Find what is important and make
time for it. Prioritize
those things and people who are important to you
and budget your time to
include them. *Search yourself and find what is
discomforting. What
throws you off balance? Is it a schedule, is it
pressures of daily
life, is it a person? Is it an environment?
Look at the entire picture
and see what can be changed and what cannot be
altered and adjust
accordingly. *Be aware of the physical side of
your life. How are you
taking care of yourself? Are you trying to be
healthy or are you giving
it any thought? Be aware you cannot carry around
a 'house' you are in
unless it is well constructed. *Create a quiet
time. This has been
mentioned before and bears repeating. These are
very simple steps but
underneath the simplicity is a complexity that
weaves the disharmony.
Only by starting with the simple steps can one go
further and look
deeper into what is the basis of the harmony and
disharmony that each
person creates.
In the middle of combative times when stress is
all around you, work at
healing your own. Contribute that individual
harmony to the people and
places you come into contact with and in sharing
that harmony, it may
flow in such a way that it is healing to another.
