The moon shines its light in a most gentle way.
It shines on all, yet
for all its gentleness, its light is strong and
far reaching. It makes
no discrimination nor does it appear to be
responding more to one than
another. I wonder. Have you wondered? Does it
seem to you that at
times the moonlight seems to reach down, to
surround you? Have you
experienced that feeling of being one with its
light? Have you admired
and basked in its beauty and sensed a return, a
response? Perhaps you
are one of those who takes the moon as well as
the sun and stars for
granted. They seem to always be there, so why
not? Yet there are
mysteries surrounding the moon, there are songs
of light that surround
its being.
Too often we take beauty for granted as well as
taking light for
granted. We miss spectacular views because we do
not take the time to
look. Have you ever gardened in the moonlight?
Quite an experience and
unusual but enlightening. We need to reach out
sometimes and look at
things somewhat differently. It's as if we
explore in a different way,
and as a result, we experience in a different
way.
The moon is such a heavenly body. The times of
the moon and its
influence are well known, but we tend to, again,
take it as an ordinary
movement in time. Perhaps the moon is healing.
Is this a new
thought? Refresh yourself by the light of the
moon. Feel its soothing
light and its calmness. Feel its gentle light
and the aura of feeling
around it. Do not try to intellectualize or
analyze, but simply be part
of the night, be part of the earth, and feel the
moon's glow. Try not
to let your experience be one of expectation.
Simply enjoy the
experience, and if possible, the silence. You
may be surprised to find
that the moon has a language of its own. Only
with patience can one
understand that language and experience it with a
knowing that has no
words. Get acquainted with the moon ... take
time to learn from her.
