A clear picture can mean many things. It may be
an actual picture or
painting that someone has created and one that
clearly states a thought
or clearly shows a scene or person. It can mean
a summary of something
presented verbally that gives a clearer view and
understanding of the
entire subject. It can mean the lessening of
distortion, the clearing
away of that which is not needed to increase the
focus that one needs to
understand. One might say 'I understand, it is
clear to me now.'. It
might be a clearing of an area, an environmental
change that allows for
a different view or scene or opens up an area.

What is a clear view? How do we look at things
clearly? Too often we
are surrounded by outside influences of daily
life, the broadcasting of
news and information that influences us. We are
influenced by our
family, our heritage, our friends. There are
many, many sources that
influence us. Why then is it difficult for us to
see clearly when we
face the problems that life brings? Too often we
are surrounded by
emotiuonal fields and inner turmoils that cause
conflict, and if that
conflict is not in harmony with another or others
that we live with,
then the conflict is increased. It would seem
impossible to see clearly
if we are close to many different views. Then
there is the situation
that one can see clearly and yet be looking
through only one set of eyes
and one view.

To see clearly doesn't mean that another with a
different viewpoint
cannot also see clearly. It is perspective and
the view from the
imaginary mountain. One can climb a mountain and
see at different
levels or two people can see the same scene and
notice different
things. That is the way of 'seeing', that is the
way of getting a clear
view. One does not have to agree with another to
see that the view that
person sees may be the clear one for him and
though he or she may not
agree with your own view, it is important to
realize that the view that
is right for you is the view you see clearly.
You can look at the same
thing or the same situation, and as you mature
with life, the viewing
can change. It then becomes clearer. This is
not to say that one must
see clearer, just that it helps. Some of the
clearest sayings come from
children.

To view life, one would need more time than most
have to think and
meditate on its meaning. To understand all that
happens in one
twenty-four hour period is time consuming, to see
it from different
angles, different levels, to see it overall to
get a clearer picture.
So how do we work on seeing clearly - simply by
clearing, by removing
that which distorts by focussing on that which is
most important. As we
view different scenarios, as we view the life we
are creating, it is
wise to take time to look at it from a quiet
place. It is also good to
view with feeling as well as the mind. From the
vantage point of earth,
it is impossible to get the clearest view, yet we
can strive to keep a
balanced picture, to look at what we are
creating, to stand back and
enlarge our vision.

Seeing clearly is something we can work at when
we give it inner vision
and attention.
