The order of life is a sequence, a string of
events and experiences that
we all have from day to day, year to year. Most
of us take the
advancement of days, months, and years in a
casual accepted way. We
seldom take time to look at where we are in the
order of things unless
there has been loss of one type or another.

Sequences are not always visible. We have our
calendars and can
visually see the days, the dates of the seasons,
and the special days.
We have our own timeline that we use by setting
our references by
special or memorable events in our lives.
Sometimes these events are
sad ones as someone dies or there is an accident
or a loss. We need a
frame of reference to, in a sense, hold our life
together. We are much
more time oriented then we need to be.
Sometimes, there is a feeling of
'no time', a sensing of space or time being
somehow different. Time
seems to slow down or speed up and sequences fly
by so fast that it
seems there is none.

The Spirit has no sense of days, months, years,
for it is and always has
been in sequence. That is, that the sequence of
the soul has long range
segments. The order of life continues and the
sequence of growth is
unending.

Too often in our rush to meet our goals, whatever
they may be, we forget
to see that the sequence which is most important
is that of continuity.
If we lock ourselves into blocks of living time,
we tend to be
restricted by those blocks. While we are living
our earth lives we need
to interrupt the sequence and order of the
calendar years and see beyond
the visual sequences we see as our lives. Beyond
comprehension, there
are sequences much longer and fulfilling than
what we can imagine. At
times we can get a fleeting sense of the vastness
and order that is
beyond that which we live. The very fact that
that experiencing seems
to throw us off in our earth sequence should not
be an uncomfortable
experience. Instead, it should remind us not to
get too locked in to
our earthly sequence. If you have not
experienced a moment of 'out of
sequence', then take a fragment of time and
observe the stars. Loosen
your sense of being beyond the sequences of life.
